I have no opinion on DG personally at this point. I'm just going off what is being said about him now and feeling comfortable enough selecting him at 6. We have camps, workouts, and about a month to make some headway.

exactly... i'd be willing to take a shot at the kid if Walsh thinks he's a good bet to be a good NBA player... from what i read about him he sounds like he could do well playing for Mike D... i don't get the opposition to him at this point.

If his early projection is "HE COULD BE BETTER THAN AB" then he's sleeping with BUST and I don't mean frontal. We'll see what happens I guess, but you know Antonio Davis, I mean Antonio Daniels is writing him love letters with promises of a long lasting relationship.

Andrea Bargnani has definitely not shown himself to be #1 overall pick calibre yet, but he isn't a horrible young player either... it's only his second season in the NBA & he had double digit scoring averages both years... he's only 22 years old, can we wait a couple years at least before we pronounce him to be a bust?

& who cares what Jay Bilas says anyway? you just said yourself you hate player comparisons like that... why is it so disturbing to you that people would say this kid could be better than AB? i don't get it... shouldn't that be a good thing?

I already did. He's soft and doesn't play defense.

OK isles... i could just as easily say "he's awesome & plays tremendous offense", but unless i can offer some legitimate proof that i know what i'm talking about it's pretty worthless commentary... you still haven't told us how you know that he's soft & plays no D... are you going off scouting reports like the rest of us?

Gallinari is a finesse player and he's not a great shooter from the outside. Those are facts. As empirical as it can get. Plus he's Italian. Big men from Italy are always soft and can't play defense. Look it up.

Oh, and Manu is Argentinian. That's empirical too.

If we were to draft Gallinari does that mean that Wilson Chandler should get traded?

Maybe we could swing a deal for Sessions and future protected pick. I really like Chandler though I think he could be a very good player in the next few yrs.

I don't care who we draft as long as Zach Randolph, Eddy Curry, Stephon Marbury, and Jerome James are not wearing Knicks uniforms next season. That to me is comparable to winning the lottery.
