i think Gallinari would be a nice match for D'Antoni's system... shoots the rock, can run the floor, tall & athletic for a SF & can handle the ball & create his own shots.

How do you know this? Have you actually seen this guy play or are you going off what Andy Katz told you on ESPN?

Rose is nice, no doubt...but Augustine is going to be fine a NBA player.

Which is why he'll be gone by the time the Knicks pick.

Please dont jinx it, brother..Augustine is the one player I've been hoping the Knicks draft for the longest now

Plus he's soft and doesn't play defense.

In other words, he's perfect!

Gallinari might play defense. Actually I have no idea because I've never seen him play...

i'm just going off scouting reports & clips of him on YouTube... i'm sure not many of us have seen him play including the ones claiming he plays no defense... scouting reports say he's nothing special on D but gets his share of steals using his length.

Ok, I won't. He might be there.

Let's figure this out:
1. Chicago - Rose

2. Miami - Beasley

3. Minnesota - Mayo

4. Seattle - Lopez

5. Memphis - Randolph

6. Knicks - Bayless, Galinari, Gordon, Augustin, Westbrook

More like this:
1. Chicago - Rose

2. Miami - Beasley

3. Minnesota - Lopez

4. Seattle - Bayless

5. Memphis - Love

6. Knicks - Mayo, Galinari, Gordon, Augustine, Westbrook, Randolph

Seriously, if Bayless falls, that will probably take the sting off a little bit, no?

1. Chicago - Rose

2. Miami - Beasley

3. Minnesota - Mayo

4. Seattle - Randolph

5. Memphis - Bayless

6. Knicks?

I defy anyone to get this right today. I think it could be any of 10 players

No way Memphis takes Bayless with Conley and Lowry there.

Chicago-Rose

Miami-Beasley

Minny-Lopez

Seattle-Love

Memphis-Mayo

Knicks-?

love will NOT go top 10. this guy's lack of athleticism and slow footedness will come out in workouts. this guy is going to be a glorified role player in the NBA. if randolph isnt on the board that means mayo or bayless are still available, which is good for us. realistically we have a shot at bayless, mayo, randolph, or lopez which isn't that bad, although i think randolph is the worst (overall prospect, he may have a high ceiling) out of the 4.

I think so. We were all pretty much prepared to pick 5th anyway. And Bayless was the one player we thought would be there. If he falls, I think it will be a good pick at 6.

I'm still pissed Chicago came away with the #1...but I'm not too distressed about the Knicks sliding to 6th.

Top 5 can go many ways, but if Rose/Beasley/Lopez are the top 3, I would be satisfied with a sliding Mayo/Bayless or Randolph.
I'm not too sure about the Italian. From the clips I've seen, he does seem very versatile, but nothing especially impresses me enough to take him with Chandler looking like a solid prospect at the 3.

Either way, I'll trust Donnie on this one.

No game, no film, no scouting report makes me feel like Lopez is a top five pick.

I think you're looking to get fired if you're a GM and you make that pick.

lopez is a legit top 5 pick, but hes got a lot of issues he has to work out. he doesnt keep the ball high enough when he shoots, isn't super athletic but his style of play and athleticism reminds me of duncan. he is a solid defender and will block a couple of shots a game but he isn't an all 1st NBA defender. he could go two ways -- he could turn into an 18/10 type of franchise center more in the duncan mold or he will be a chris kaman type circa 2 years ago, with a better jumper
