If you can't move to 3 and grab Mayo, make sure you get Westbrook.

Alright. I've stepped off the ledge that I was on.

When I created the thread, I was so disappointed that I wasn't going to get the guy that I've been all over since August (Derrick Rose) that I just lost it. I really thought for some reason we'd get picks 1 or 2, I really did...

So now that I'm sane again (I'm sure some will argue that point to begin with ) I can honestly say that Anthony Randolph would be a great choice for us, let's just hope he's around. Also, if D'Antoni likes the Italian kid than I got no problem with that, I trust his judgment. I'll also go for Bayless, but I doubt he's around at 6.

My order of players.
1. Randolph
2. Bayless
3. Galinari.

This is a great draft 1-5. Isiah found away to punk the franchise one more time with his 'strong' finish. Next we will pick a Euro that he scouted that no one else thinks should go this high.

how about Zach, Jefferies & the #6 pick for B Miller & Artest? that unloads a ton of longterm cap & could help us improve for the short term as well.

This is the mentality that kept us from building a great team over the last 6 years. I don't view trading this pick unless it's for NJ's 10-21[which I would have to think about] OR Carmelo Anthony[which I highly doubt will happen if Im Denver]. I think the players that would be safe picks are not there at 6 so we have to look at *ceiling* when we weigh in what the BPA is @ 6. Now we just have to wait it out--I don't think the Knicks can rush to judgement right now.

Are you still high on Jevale Mcgee?

How many people here really believed the Knicks were going to get a number 1-3??

A number 6 pick is still an asset, one that the Knicks must work to their advantage. Tanking for next year will be tough, because D'Antoni will have to explain why he is getting such a high salary for next year, we have no 2010 pick, and we could find ourselves in the very same spot next year as this year: Getting edged out of a top pick because of the bounce of ping pong balls.

This isnt a particularly strong draft. Walsh needs to get on the horn.

i was thinking the same nixluva... Gallinari seems like a great fit for D'Antoni's system... a good shooting SF who can run the break, has length & ballhandling ability & the skills to create his own shot... i think it would be nice to have a Euro talent on this team for a change also.

Agreed.
I'll never trust this' team again.

i agree BRIGGS... it sucks that we didn't get lucky but the odds were against us anyway... i don't think it's the end of the world that we got the #6 pick... now let's see what Walsh does with it.

I just don't understand how of all teams, and of the worst' how the bulls ended up so damn lucky. I hate them more than I ever did before.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I would take Randolph or Westbrook.

Or try to swap with Memphis and take Mayo. It seems they have a lot of guards and may be targeting Kevin Love... so... we'll see... Maybe the Twolves will want to trade out of pick three if they aren't sold on Brook Lopez... there are plenty of options and plenty of lotto picks get switched around on draft night. And we have Walsh on the phones now, a voice people respect, instead of Isiah's pathetic whimper.
