That third quarter killed the Bugs.

Tip your hat to 'em though, they took the Champs to the limit.

Pargo is reminding me a lot of John Starks.

Lots of energy and a little out of control but the kid has heart. He's taking it into the lane and is willing to take big shots. It's a little crazy watching him taking control of the ball and looking for his own shot, just like Starks used to do. I feel the same uneasiness and relief when he does score but also the same incredulity, like "what the hell are you doing?" when he doesn't.

AWESOME comparison Isles, I think that is right on the money. He's got balls of steel, he's taking all the big shots for them, he's feisty. Awesome comparison...

Starks was a damn good defender & made the Allstar team 1 year... i dunno if Pargo stacks up... maybe in the way he plays offense but Starks was simply a better player IMHO.

I was just talking about watching him in tonight's game.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Duncan's a great player but he's been blessed with outstanding teammates his entire career. I wish Ewing had had teammates like these guys.

Ewing was a better player physically, but was selfish. Duncan is more about the team.
Ducan has allowed his role players to grow. They were also better talents no doubt.

It's easy to have a lot of confidence in your teammates when they're as oustsanding as Duncan's are.

did Duncan and Paul have the same coach in college at Wake Forest? it strikes me as odd that two of the most complete, well-rounded players in the league came from the same program, which isn't too well thought of usually, or at least, it's never mentioned in the same breath as Uconn, Duke, UNC, UCLA, Kansas, etc

Differnt coaches. Dave Odom with Duncan, and Skip Prosser with CP3. Both good guys. Wake is a small school. CP3 is from Lewisville, just outside of Winston Salem. Prosser was a great guy (died jogging last summer) and is really missed.

Duncan in college had Randolph Childress who if not for knee trouble could have been a good pro. The guy was smooth and a big time scorer. He was the Anti Marbury in the ACC. Randolph was the star of the team and Duncan was the younger player who shined when Randolph graduated. I think for Timmy begin very young and having a star player stay 4 years really does help in passing the leadership role.

CP3 just keeps getting better and better every year! He is a good kid who has kept his ego in check.
