Shaun Livingston thats insane even before his freak injury the kid was seriously injury prone no way I would take a chance on him.

i hear that but on a 2 yr deal it doesn't really hurt our cap situation... the upside is obvious... it's not a big deal to take him on at 2 yrs & $12 mil w/a team option for a 3rd like BRIGGS suggested IMO.

Come on you seriously think its worth taking a risk on this guy and as your first string point guard NO WAY. And yes it is a big deal please for all thats holy don't throw money down the rat shoot on this guy. He'll be lucky to even be in the NBA 2 years from now assuming he even makes it back from that freak injury.

I don't even care so much about the money but one thing I absolutely despise when teams spend money on a player who they'll be lucky to see him suit up for 30 games.

we'll see if it gets done BRIGGS... i dunno what else to say at this point... i don't think it's got a shot of happening.

I don't see any team taking on that much extra money for a player who won't share the ball with Lebron. That said, I'd be ecstatic if they would do the deal. Forget getting a draft pick from them; Ben Wallace for Zach would be cause for celebration for us.

I mean have you watched Ben Wallace play in like the last two years? He's done--he's nothing. He was an undersized PF who got by with athletic explosion and now he is a 6-7 well built stiff /shell of what he could do. Now he's not going to be worth of much around the league. To get a player of Zach Randolphs skills and talent for one extra year of salary is a no brainer IMHO. Their market is going to be very small to get rid of Big ben--they need more than 1 player--they need to shift 3-4 players and they need atleast 2 guys who can score points. Zach Randolph is not a franchise player and that is how he was used *incorrectly* by the Ny Knicks and later with the Blazers. Lebron James is the facilitator on that team--he's the focus---Randolph was the main focus on Portland and NY. He can score 17-10 for Cleveland but with lebron he can do it a lot easier and he has the type of talent level that will help Lebron. I mean if you were the GM--just flat out who would you want more at this point Ben Wallace or Zach Randolph? Well we have seen what they did with ben Wallace---not enough and hes only going to be worth less next year.

I disagree. I think Shaun Livingston will be back, but it's going to be difficult for him to "get paid". That knee of his is gottsa be held together by string, silly putty and crazy glue.

*shudder* I just got a visual of that injury again.

He's young--only 22. The only way I would offer him a contract is if he cleared by the best doctors. It appeasr as if it is headed that way. The reason why I said 3 years 2 locked was the LA Clippers are not likely to match it even if he is cleared 100% by doctors at this point. If hes not 100% cleared--then is moot.

But if he was that would be nice to add

6-10 Beasley
6-7 Livingston
6-5 Giddens

All young athletic fast and skilled.

Has Livingston ever been effective, even when healthy?

I don't like the Sean Livingston idea.

Everyone always went crazy over the kid but I watched him a bunch and he was always up and down.

Before the injury he struggled to get into the lane - most of his flashy passes were out on the break in open space but in the half court sets his jumper isn't a threat and teams back off him preventing penetration.

After the injury - no way I do that.

Another concern for us is that D'Antoni appears to prefer a short 7-8 person rotation. So you know some of our jack-asses are going to get their panties in a wad if they are sitting on the pine.

We need to move some more parts.

If we luck out on Beasley - I say we go this route and stay small.

Obviously - this would indicate that Eddy and Zach have been sent packing.

We run pick & rolls with Nate and Beasley much like Nash and Amare.

Marbs off the bench in Barbosa scorers roll.

Nate
Craw
Jefferies
Beasley
Lee

Marbs
Chandler
Balkman
