D'Antoni would benefit more with the Knicks roster than the Bulls. The Bulls players are not set for the running game the KNicks are more set for the running game. With Nate, Chandler, Crawford and Balkman and even Lee the Knicks are more set for running than the bulls.

I agree those five players would fit into what D'Antoni might try to do- but you are talking about very minor role players- none of whom can hit outside shots- and the key with D'Antoni's system is spacing, passing and hitting the outside shot.

And you conveniently overlook our plodding front court- offensive black holes.

I think the Bulls roster is a lot more developed for what he might look for- lets face it- they did finish with a better record than us- that wasn't an accident.

Gordon Noah and Tyrus with D'Antoni and a point guard who can push would be scary

It's really the smartest thing to do. Pick a team that you really wanna coach. Negotiate with them. Then go to the Knicks, b/c everyone would love to give NY a shot, but at the same time, you can live without them, but you love their money! Make the team you really want to go to love you, then threaten to go to NY for bigger money. Then boom. Absolutely brilliant.

no. I like Kirk but don't think he is suited for that style. I think he is trade bait...perhaps to Portland for their young euro guard

Two league sources have confirmed that when the Suns agreed to give D'Antoni permission to talk to other clubs, the Bulls and the Knicks in particular, there was one condition: they would not grant permission to D'Antoni to talk with the Raptors.

The suggestion was that the Toronto ban was initiated by the Suns and reflective of the desire of Suns owner Robert Sarver to not be seen to doing any favours for current Raptors president and former Suns general manager Bryan Colangelo. There is no indication the Raptors were seeking permission to talk with Phoenix.

Which all suggests they don't want him back and they probably hope either of these two teams snatch him up. And isn't it quite interesting D'Antoni is supposedly having financial issues with the Bulls....hmmmmmm I wonder why? Is it because he knows The Big Apple makes it rain with the money and he's leveraging for more money from the Bulls......of course he is. At least this is MO.

This is 100% accurate. Coaches and players alike have been using the NY market to help them negotiate better deals with other teams for decades. Although I would love to have him, I never believed for a second that D Antoni would end up here. We are being used as usual.
