Can't believe the Suns would really fire D Antoni. He put that team back on the map, created an exciting brand of basketball but some teams as copied, and should have won the Championship last year if not for Horry.

Kerr is the one that pulled the trigger on that trade for Shaq. Who is he going to possibly hire that will do a better job with that team than D Antoni? D Antoni's basketball mind is innovative, creative and is taylor made for the direction the NBA is heading towards. D Antoni would be my number one choice.

2. Avery Johnson
3. Flip Saunders ( I put the blame more on the ****y/overrated players than on Flip)
4. Mark Jackson

I wouldn't want to recycle Silas, who I believe it was Riley who said he didn't work hard enough. Not a fan of Mitchell either.

Disagree on D'Antoni he's good for a specific style not for the team we have. He'd might be a good fit 3yrs from now. We need a hard nose no non sense type of coach at this point. The kind of coach who'll fight a player...Smitch, Silas, and Jackson all fit the bill.

D'Antoni can stay in Phx or go to Toronto. I don't want crybaby coaches either and D'Antoni is the Queen of crybabies.

Thats the thing. I'm not hiring D Antoni with the premiss that he will coach this team of odd parts as presently constructed. My job, as GM, will be to move these players and get D Antoni the players he needs. Walsh's plan is to get under the cap, so obviously, his plan is to move as many players as possible.

To be honest, we shouldn't try to hire any coach with the idea that we want them to turn this current group of Knicks around. Its pretty obvious they don't work together.

I would love to get Mike D'Antoni here. He'd be great. I'd be curious to see what type of system he install here because it won't be like the one in Phoenix, as the Knicks don't have those types of horses.

Avery Johnson would get my vote. He understands how to play on both sides of the ball. I know Dallas disappointed this year, but that's almost a good thing. I think he'd come in with something to prove. And I think he'd have no problem benching anyone who refused to play on both sides of the ball.

Anyway, I prefer both to Mark Jackson. I think Flip Saunders is a joke of a coach... his teams ALWAYS underachieve. Not surprising he's Marbury's favorite coach.

I really hope Donnie talks to him before making any decision.

He should have been hired instead of Chaney

I dont like D'Antoni much he just doesn't seem to have the gravitas to get people to listen to him. He seems to be one of those whiny type people. But he did deliver positive measurable results in Phoenix so I can understand if they want to consider him. Can he be the HC with TT as a assistant? I just hope he deosn't become the Mike Martz(Rams) of basketball w/o the championship.
