Yi seems to be a nice player, but i'd rather have Rose right now. Here's a different question.

Would you trade the 1st or 2nd pick for 2 picks in the 5-10 range?

No. You go for the franchise talent.

After beasley and rose.....who is the franchise talent? If the Knicks don't get a shot at them, they must trade the pick........I will go as far as #1. I really want Beasley. If no Beasley......then I want a combination of something like darrell arthur, and mayo, or like yi and a pick......Knicks are pressing the reset button. No single player other than Beasley is a sure thing.......even a budinger and say brandon rush. Knicks need everything. To me Rose is good but the Knicks can get that type of talent via trade and they should try to do that.

Eny, where are you going to get a young PG like Rose via trade? Teams just don't trade those kinda guys, is a team going to trade Deron Williams or Chris Paul? Never. I'd take Rose all day, every day.

Memphis has conley, lowry, and that other dude......portland has sergio....Knicks have a shot at a few young guys.....I personally believe the guys I mentioned can play the game of basketball. I liken Derrick Rose is closer to a Devin Harris type. Awesome player but not all that. Maybe a young Rod Strickland and that is a huge compliment coming from rods biggest fan.
Knicks need more than just Rose. Beasley is the gem. Imagine if the Knicks could get budinger and mayo.....that's mega awesome. Better than just Rose in my opinion.

I'll gladly take Beasely, don't get me wrong, but I believe nowadays the NBA game is played from the PG and then out. I want that floor-leader, that general, that guy that can run up and down the court, can play the half-court game, can score, can pass, can play defense. I think thats more important. If you look at the teams like New Orleans and Utah, they don't have a guy like Beasely on their team. Sure David West is good and so is Carlos Boozer, but they are the same player, they excel because they have a PG who can distribute and knows where to get them the ball. Both of those guys were taken later in the draft as well, we can find that guy, but you can't find Deron Williams or Chris Paul just anywhere. Just ask the Hawks who passed on Paul to take Marvin Williams.
