Remember Eddie Donovan?

He built the knicks in the late 60's. Yeah, that Eddie Donovan.

He left knicks to take over the Buffalo Braves. Other than McAdoo they did nothing and were cashed starved.

Bring him back to NY as the Savior in late 70's. Pick up Marvin Webster, Spencer Haywood, and eventually MCadoo. disaster.

The point. Good guys can have up and downs.

Sund and especially king are smart guys with experience and good backgrounds. They will be fine under the right circumstances. What are those by the way?

Im not sure because Im not privy to the plan.

And what has the new guy in seatle really done? Hired PJ and got Durant, but they sucked this year. It takes time!

Seattle was doing fun and got some bad breaks and went on drafting super large undeveloped players figuring ONE would pan out. Not a bad strategy. Swift can play but he can't stay on the court.

Its the combo of Walsh, the GM and the new coach that will make an impact, and it will take 3 years!!!

When you think it couldn't get worse...These can't be the best the NBA has to offer this once storied franchise, is it?...This is still New York isn't it?...This is MSG we are talking about here, no?...This is the place where Jerry West and Colangelo wanted to lay that Rembrandt before riding off into the sunset...How can Sund and/or King possibly be the answer?...Doesn't Walsh know it's way past April 1st to be playing a cruel joke like this on us...Being the laughing stock of the NBA the last eight years isn't enough?...I haven't watch ball for the last few weeks now...I can't, it just too painful...Is it too early to fire Walsh?...I can't take another four years of this crap...

Holfresh, what is with the Billy King hate? I can understand not wanting Sund, but we can do ALOT worse than King.

Nothing wrong with King to be honest...Sixers did a nice turn around in the end...But like I said, Is this the best we can get?...I would like some one who is proven...I'm not thrilled with Walsh for that matter...I would have prefered Jerry Colangelo or West...This franchise has wasted the last eight years with trial and error GM and management(run-on)...I would like the see the people in here that gives us the best chance for success...I really hope Walsh get under the cap like he says...I hope that also means he plans to rebuild...This really bites, it's Spring and my team is out of the mix once again...

If you are referring to the knicks as your team there- they were out of it in December, at the latest. You could probably point to Marbury splitting on the team as the start of the end for this season.

Which in itself is interesting..Looking at the last three years, we could point to the Knicks imploding after Marbury going down or being banished...Not necessarily a good thing but interesting...I guess he was a leader of sorts...Maybe fodder for another thread...The Knicks did look like they could have competed at the beginning of the year...Who cares anyway...
