I support the pro-Mayo message. Duke has one of the higher ceilings out of all the lottery picks.

Posted by Bonn1997:Posted by fishmike: If he listened to just one person, he'd have an outstanding career. When it talks about talent, comparing a guard to stephon marbury is a tremendous compliment. If Mayo had MeBury's head, then it would be a different story. With that said, lets pray we can get Rose. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Mayo to me is Jamal Crawful except he's a better shooter, rebounder, and defender.
some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

Mayo Reminds me of a combination of Roy and Larry Hughes when they were in college. He has a vast understanding of the game, not overly athletic, can D-up, can play the PG position in a pinch, and is an unselfish scorer. I think this kid will be a very good player in the NBA. He'll be just a notch below allstar level.

i said all season i liked mayo. however, his stock has risen within the past few weeks for whatever reason so i don't know if we can get him if we get the predicted 4th or 5th pick. my preference is this in this order:
1.)rose 2.)beasley 3.) mayo 4.) bayless 5.) lopez |

Posted by fishmike:Posted by SupremeCommander:yea man... I get those kind of vibes also, and like Mayo very much. If HS players were still allowed the thought was he would have gone #1 last year (Oden also being gone the year before) Definitely... he'd be a tremendous value pick this year. He was working on skills that he needs at the NBA level to succeed. I see an Allan Houston, Reggie Miller, or Rip Hamilton-like ability to move without the basketball. I know we have fat, lazy bigs, but when the day comes when our bigs can set some man-size screens, I'd love to see Mayo curling 18+ feet for a sweet, virtually uncontested shot. DLeethal wrote:

again i don't know why people are down on bayless. true he had a bad end of the season but when i see him on, he reminds me of kevin johnson. he can be that type of player in the nba. i would LOVE to see him in a knick uni next year.
