Isiah should not be referencing the Knicks past because he isn't a member of the Knicks and never will be. I don't care how long he served here as coach and GM, he will never ever be considered a part of this organization.

Especially when this organization turns things around. That's when his name will never be mentioned.

Isiah's name is only mentioned during mediocrity.

Isiah will be attaching his name to any success the Knicks have in the future. Count on it.

Rightfully so. He laid the foundation to the great structure that will be the future Knicks.
All hail Isiah.

No thomas is being smartass adaing, He;s basically saying that since we haven't won a title since 73 his team isn't much different since we cannot "be proud of it".
that is very Isiah like, and given how only less than 10 years ago i for one was proud of my team.

what he's doing is distancing himself from the Knicks as if he had nothing to do w/the current state of collapse... notice how he refers to "you" when he is speaking about the team's past failures, & only refers to "us" or "i" when he speaks about wanting to win championships here in NY, distancing himself from the bad & only relating himself with the future good... notice his first words in DET the other day when addressing the crowd were "This is OUR house"... as if he's still a Piston & the Knicks are just some organization that he works for... par for the course for this snake of an individual... he sees the ship has sunk so he's latching himself onto the only life raft he's got left.

It would be hysterical to see Detroit's reaction to Isiah becoming Team President and General Manager of their Pistons.

I'm sure they love Isiah, just as long as he's far away from them and destroying other competing franchises.

I can't stand Isiah and I'd love to see him trip and fall into a woodchipper, yet, I got to say, his comments were clarified that what he meant was a championship is something you can be proud of - and we haven't won one since 1973. He mis-spoke and acknowledged that he had done so.

This doesn't change that he's a total jackass, and needs to be turned into mulch and shipped to some foreign country, yet, he did clarify his comments. This was touched on during the Bobcats broadcast the other night (so, no, no link...)

He's still wronger than two left shoes. Once again he's putting himself in a position of authority speaking for a mass of people in which he has no right. Hmmmmm where has he done this before?.... think deposition. People feel proud about different things and it doesn't always have to be the best of the best. You don't think fans felt proud Larry Johnson gave it all he had and his during 4pt play against the Pacers? What about Benard King? This is just one of the many moments and examples since 1973 to feel proud you were a fan of the team. I guess Pistons fans weren't proud of him or proud to be a Piston when he went up against the Knicks and lost to Bernard/Hubie in 1984 EC 1rst round playoff series.

I'm pretty sure that after we battled Miami and Allan's shot fell that I had feelings of pride. After Game 7 against HOuston. I was upset. But wore my jersey and talked trash for months. This guy does not belong here. He can't handle NY, he is not a NYer and has no idea what makes a NY fan.

All that being said I look forward to him being my coach next year because HE WILL BE HERE NEXT YEAR.
I just hope that people will like me

You guys are acting like he's lying.

The 90's Knicks were very good and great to watch but they did win any Championships? no.

and at the end of the day...isn't that what we all want? Or are you all content with just "competing" every year?

Yeah, but he said that we haven't been proud since '73. I think I speak for most Knick fans when I say that the '90s teams inspired a great deal of pride throughout the city. We took Jordan's teams to the wire and went to a game 7 against the Rockets in the finals.

If not for that shameful ruling in the '97 semis against the Heat, I still maintain we would have grabbed the 'ship that year.

Isiah done lost his damn mind.
