I have to wonder if Isiah isn't trying to prove himself to Walsh in some way. I hope Walsh isn't a Dolan puppet. The Isiah era has to end. He can't even tank right. At this point keeping Isiah around is useless. In addition to alienating and frustrating fans he keeps worsening the Knicks chance of getting a high lottery pick. After all the damage he has already done it seems ridiculous to allow him to continue to hurt the Knicks for the future.

I seem to recall walsh saying something basically to the effect that he wanted to see if the players had given effort all year or not - and that seemed to be an indictment of isiah.

trying now should not be an excuse - if anything, its proof that this team as constructed & coached by isiah can't handle the pressure of trying to be a 500 team and that the players isiah marched out at the beginning of the year aren't as good as the players getting time now.

this ****ing sucks. All year long I praised Derrick Rose and knew that this team was pisspoor enough to have a real shot at getting him. Of course after Walsh gets hired, Isiah feels the need "prove his worth" when the season is already over and he has no chance of doing anything except making himself look better.

No Rose, no Beasely, no ANYONE. Fuck this.

so frustrating. on a positive note, i saw spike lee speak today at BC. gave my balkman jersey a thumbs up but said he was not fielding any knicks-related questions (i don't blame him). he started off w/ a hilarious riff on the pats being 19-0 it was really excellent.

This is a serious post because I am not sure what is going on. Are the current players trying to impress Donnie Walsh? Is Isiah trying to show that he can coach? It appears that the team is not practicing but they are now experiencing alot of success on the court when the only thing their success can do is harm the future of the franchise.

isiah and the chicks are screwing us in the end. That's what's going. We're so screwed it's unbelievable! isiah has thouroughly wrecked this franchise for at least the next three years or more.

How come Walsh won't fire him? I don't get this at all!!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Dude--do you work in the marketing dept for the Knicks? I mean it's pretty darn obvious. Most people are pirsed off fans bro--most:) are not MSG employees--so don't get your panties in a ruffle when true fans go off. Of course every real fans DOES want them to lose down the stretch for the betterment of the team inthe future BUT there are way to many agendas and BS spewing from the Knicks. I don't believe Walsh was hired by the Knicks yet hasnt seen 1 minute of ball game--the guy couldve had any game taped and sent to him first class delivery in a nano-second. Im taking this day by day and I don't trust what is going on here.

True fans? Marketing worker for MSG? Are you for real?

I've been looking for change in this organization for 18 months now. Apparently you don't read posts.

If it makes you and others feel good to hammer players who do well and root for the team to lose while rooting for the opponent to win then good for you.

May I remind you that you have absolutely no power in what or how the Knicks do?

May I remind you that "real fans" don't root for their team to lose and don't lambaste them when they win while getting all bent out of shape over a lotto position?

Gimme a break....

Walsh? The man himself said the PC was to introduce him and that he would head home to Indiana to tie up loose ends. He had to finish up what he had going there, he had to talk to people there to complete the transition, he had to talk to his family and figure out how to proceed with them. He did that and now he's here. What is so hard to understand?

Instead, you choose not to understand the full situation, and look to blast Walsh for not being here the past five days? LOL please....

(1) the other teams' playoff spots are locked in so these games don't matter;
(2) maybe he wants to beat the old weasel's record and not lose 60.

Exactly. If he's gonna go out (and the media keeps asking) then why go out with the worst Knick record?

We were on our way to an almost guarantee shot at the top pick. Now it's all over with.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I agree but most people wanted the hiring even earlier, ironically.

You know what, forget it. You are right, some ppl think losing is never useful for the team, even if it means better chances at improving through lottery. Fine, there has never been a superstar selected with 1 or 2nd pick in the draft.

I just hope that Isiah's slick plan to prove himself backfires because Walsh is smarter than that and he'll see right through it. If these wins mean getting rid of Isiah , to me that like adding a super dooper star by just subtracting Isiah. Just as long as zeke is remeved from the team.

Just because you are not guaranteed any particular pick and any team in the lotto can get top 3, doesn't mean that while we could be in more control now we didn't just trow it away by going on this cute win streak and left it to odds that are even less favorable now.

LB is the standard he has the longest win streak under I SAY UGH's tenure at 6gms in a row. This is what we're shooting for beat 23-59 and get that 6gm winning streak.

In light of these new ideas i make a bold prediction that LBs win straek will not be broken and we'll have less than 23 victories this year as well. cheers
