Hey, Earl.

It ain't your money.

Pass the donuts.

Panos - you are correct once again sir. If you are content to wait until 2010-11 for The Chosen One... or Wise, I have no problem whatsoever with that point of view. Under or over the cap, this basketball business is just so darn unpredictible and there is talent to be mined in some unexpected places like the roster of Armani Milan, USC or The University of Memphis.

Speaking of donuts, I understand Mark Jackson likes 'em glazed.

That much I'll agree with. I find all these trade scenarios amusing.
I'm fairly confident that whatever steps Walsh takes will be none of the ones
that are proposed on this board on a daily basis.

Nate and Jefferies for Josh Childress
Curry for Hakim Warrick and Kyle Lowry

Crawford for anyone

MS I like the first 2 trades, but I wouldn't be willing to give Crawford for just a bag of chips. He has value and apparently a lot of people think highly of him around the league.

MS - so, the Hawks add another guard where they have Bibby and another forward, where they have seven already, why?

These trades are downright hilarious

Must be why he traded for Zach and his albatross contract that extends past 2010. Or maybe like his assertion that the NBA is phasing out the big man, he didn't come to that realization until after he had already burdened the team with Curry and Zach.

Exactly. There was no sign at all of setting up for the near future. Just more long term, useless signings and bull coming out of his mouth again.

Isiah is nothing but a ****aroach. He will say and do anything to stay in power because this is basically his last job in the NBA.

You didn't hear about Billy Knight's goal to have an all 6'8" team?

The only way they can trade Zach or Eddy is to package Lee with them. Which I happen to be fine with. Lee is a nice role player but he's eminently replaceable. That'll just be one less contract on the books for 2010.

Getting rid of Lee' just to get rid of Curry and Zach. What good will that do us?

The biggest problem with this team is not just chemistry, but the more importantly, the contracts are just so bad. You can't deal with anyone, because no one wants crap players and plus there is no way anyone is going to pick up these kinds of contracts. You almost have to let them run out, or get close to it, before buying them out as an option.

Using Lee just to get rid of anyone of these bad contracts is brainless.

Lets get rid of the only players the fans care about for nothing. Great rebuilding plan!

it's all clear now - that's why he signed jefferies! so he'd have to find a way to get rid of him before 2010!

i bet in isiah's sit down with donnie walsh, he'll just burst into tears and beg for a job. i hope donnie does the humane thing and has him escorted out of the building by security.

Escorted by Cheaney and Lenny would be my preference.

That's halarious!

The more humane thing to do would be to 'put him down'.

What plan? It changes every day. Even as he finishes out his tenure as the Knicks coach Isiah does not appear to have a plan. Is he going to tank and play the young guys? Is he going to play his vets and try to finish strong? It changes everyday because he does not have a clue. A couple of examples of past plans, draft a guy way ahead of his draft position to play sf and be a defensive stopper and then sign a guy to play sf and be a defensive stopper with the mid level; get a talented shoot first point whose teams have never been successful and compliment him by acquiring a talented shoot first point guard whose teams have never been successful; trade lottery picks for an underachieving dominant post player who cannot play defense or block shots and needs the ball and compliment him with a dominant post player who cannot play defense or block shots and needs the ball on offense to be successful. We need more cow bell.

First, get the best possible draft. Second, wait and go for the gold. Get the cap flexed and try for LeBron. If we can't get LeBron, then try for Wade.

Why keep playing with little parts, wheeling and dealing in mediocre players? Why? Think BIG! Set up and go for the best! It's very simple.
