Be careful what you ask for here. Isiah and Walsh are buddy buddies--you think he would take this job as an Isiah replacement or as a new voice with Isiah still at the helm?

Walsh to NY does not excite me at ALL.....

We need collangalo

same old same old.... it gets no better

I'm just referring to reports the other day of Don not coming here, as long as dolan was in charge. And West' wouldn't be bad either. I'm glad either way.

Until I see Donnie's name in big print, agreeing to a Knick contract, anything can happen now. The way things been going, isiah might end up bring coach-gm for next year also. Everyone's getting hopes up high again. Let's wait and see what happens.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Guys, remember when Isiah acquired Stephon Marbury and Andrew said "Wow, ISiah is a superGod". Remember when LB was hired and the board screamed "Phoenix east".

Remember, whoever we hire is not a savior. Hopefully they are just the first key peice of the puzzle.
I just hope that people will like me

yea, but the constant in all of those failures was Isiah. He got marbury here and then buried him, he got LB in here and then didn't back him.. You see it is easy, fire Isiah's ass and maybe some of these good moves will actually work out to be...well, good moves!

If Isiah is moved to a different position--i.e behind the scenes as a President--he will still have huge influence on what is going on here--this only counts if Isiah is putting a for sale sign on his home and moving back mid west. Anything less and it's the same ole

I personally don't think Donnie Walsh would have any say over whether or not Isiah would be able to remain with the franchise. That is Dolan's decision and Dolan's alone.

So in other words Colangelo wouldn't fix this mess all parameters remaining the same. The point is he let a newbie fire his boy practically first day on the job. He ain't that tight with I SAY UGH.

This is the problem though. If they end up sucking, then they are gonna have to be worse than isiah ever was, in order to have a chance of getting rid of him.

dolan has a reputation for going with someone so bad, for the longest time, before he even considers getting rid of them. It was the same with Layden.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Don't forget about the curry deal. Two draft picks, in two years for a big lazy ass cheeseburger, hold the fries.

Even The Answer Man Can't Afford Season Tickets

Q. 4949 - What in the hell is the point of having a new gm anyway?

A. Fresh headlines for the beat writers. It eliminates camera coverage of fans chanting "Fire Isiah" at the NBA Draft... and most important - a pre-emptive move to counter erosion of 08-09 ticket Sales, just for curiousity sake if nothing else.

4949 - personally, Walsh is Bronx born and had a nice run in Indiana but... those Carolina dudes irk me. Just the thought of making nice with George Karl give me the creeps.

Walsh would be a safe move from a franchise that can afford to interview executive candidates that are waiting in the wings with championship-calibre franchises.

Whoever the next GM is is going to have to EARN my support. I don't start with the assumption that the next GM Dolan picks to work under him is going to succeed.
