how did rose look today

He looked good. He reminds me of Marbury and that type of player and point guard I don't want in New York.

That's probably the worst comparison for Rose I've ever seen.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I'm referring to his power and athleticism going to the rim. Who does he play like?.... please don't say Deron Williams.

Didn't it look like Curry Jr. finally felt the weight of the moment by passing on the last shot against Kansas. In other words he choked. He has a diagram perfect jumper and can dribble well enogh to create separation - he should have shot the ball. I think Gus Johnson wanted to say he choked but was way too gracious.

I was suprised they didn't call a timeout when Curry didn't get off a shot. Where they out of timeouts?

Yeah, he choked, for a few seconds, with two guys draped over him. Still, a very nice set of games on top of a very steady season.

Interestingly, when Davidson lost to Maryland last season and lost those close games at the beginning of the season, the knock was on McKillop for not preparing last minute plays to score and/or slow the clock or to hold on the ball to maintain the lead. I wonder if it's something they do consciously, not practicing for last minute situations, beyond the most obvious prep, as part of their "we strive to play perfect ball" business. Something along the lines of "our regular game is our best game so we focus on that."

They don't have a 2nd rounder- though Ewing Jr. could go undrafted.

I don't think so. I don't see Ewing as a great coach, although potentially he might be very good working with our big men as an assistant. At the same time, I think Jackson is better spoken and a better motivator, and more of the role player type coach that lends itself to better coaching. Although he has no experience, it might be interesting taking a look at him.

Westbrook looks every bit as good as Rose. But CDR as he has been all yr and in any given game for Memphis is the best player on the court.

WOW when Rose penetrates I notice he loses the ball or gets tied up in close. He doesn't appear to go left well.

He looked good. I've never said he's played bad. I'm taking things from his game that make me wonder if he can play point guard on the NBA level. 2 guard seems to be his more natural way of playing. I recall another NBA point guard who predominantly is a go right player that plays below average D.

granted. one of the things i like about walsh is that he values character. i think he'll probably want to talk to whoever he drafts and judge his character.

though i have to say that Rose doesn't strike me as a prima donna the same way marbury was, even in college. also, marbury got shut down in college because people would just trap him. rose broke traps easily all night with smart passes up court. he doesn't turn the ball over, he plays head up. in the nba, he is going to be murder on a pick and roll.

also, he seemed to play pretty solid defense against dj augustine and collinson the last two games.

i would be thrilled to get rose.

UNC came out kind of tight, while Kansas was playing lose, carefree ball. I think Kansas' athletes were a bit underrated coming into this game. They clearly had the better athletes especially upfront and they gave Hansbrough fits. And Carolinas bend but dont break defense finally broke.

Brandon Rush is finally playing the kind of ball everyone thought he could when came out of HS as one of the top 5 prospects in the country. Kansas and Memphis should be some game.

I was very surprised. I thought for sure it be Memph & North. Look for Rose to put on a show.
I'll never trust this' team again.
