4949 - funny, so is Jeff Van Gundy

Analysts are selected among the hundreds of candidates for a reason. Primarily, their intelligence and ability to translate random information into meaningful vocabulary. If that does not meet a core criteria for a head coach, I would invite you to offer an alternate and concise job description.

or cite a better avalable candidate (with fierce NYK loyalty and roots) as trans-generation communicator and motivator

I like Mark Jackson, but it's hard to know enough about him. I would love to bring in a Jerry Colangelo and bring in Mark Jackson to learn under him and be his successor. We need someone who will be entrenched in their ways enough to get their plan rolling and not be influenced by Dolan. I'd worry about bringing someone too green in here - I'd worry they'd just be threatened and bossed around by Jimmy Jazz.

i agree with with jax as head coach. the mentoring process should be very similar to how avery johnson succeeded nelson. otherwise bringing jax from jumpstreet may not be the right move for jax to start his coaching career.

the only coach capable of taking on this bunch of wanna winners is phil jackson......and he aint available

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I don't want Dolan hiring ANOTHER GM without a track record of excellence! Scott Layden! Isiah Thomas! Ugh!!! Dolan admits he knows nothing about basketball, so how could he accurately judge some upstart's ability to manage a team? No, I want a guy with a track record of being at least mediocre... I don't trust Dolan's ability to assess whether or not Jax would be a good candidate. Otherwise, I'd say: why not give him an interview?

I don't know how old you are but Scott Layden has some pretty good work behind him like John Stockton Karl Malone and left by draft Kirelenko.

I think that is idiotic... why gamble???
I don't want to suffer through another 3 -4 years of someone learning on the job (and trading more unprotected draft picks and idiotic signings)...

Bring in a proven elite GM like Colangelo!
