Prod... I thought Dampier signed a four year forty million dollar contract... I couldn't understand why you were so sensitive about this... then I figured it out... Dampier a bulldog... can't mess with a Miss. St. alumn, huh?

LOLOLOL. pike you are the man. yeah i kinda have a little warm spot for him and the great 1996 Final Four run. but nah i'm not sensitive over it. i actually had to go back and see if he makes 10 million a year cause we went to a party he had a while ago and it didn't look like a 10 million dollar party but then again he could have been under the rookie contract when he threw the party. okay you got me

For the record... I agree with every person who pointed out Dampier would be an improvement over our current centers... then again, the Big Fellas would represent a marked improvement over our centers.

p.s. but, I'm going to be careful not to be too negative... as someone mentioned, some are starting to believe it and ... I wouldn't want to wake some of you up from your wet dream.

Travis Knight has undreamed of potential the Knicks haven't even scratched the surface of yet. Travis Knight has made 21 points per game two times in his career and 15 rebounds. So we know he's capable if he get the minutes. But most importantly TRAVIS KNIGHT HAS A RING!!!! Does Dampier have a ring? Does Foyle have a ring? Does any other Knicks has a ring? NO!!

Wow.

TKnight does in fact have a ring, I think he holds on to it in case Shaq, Kobe, of Phil lose one of theirs. He did NOTHING to earn that ring. He has done NOTHING to help the Knicks. But your post did bring a smile to my face - at least this board hasnt lost its sense of humor.

haha!!! I agree, but Pike I also agree about dampier. I don't want his azz nowhere near NY.(sorry prod) I understand that he is better than Knight and Doleac but I have seen enough Warrior games and Dampier is a slug... Watching him play is like watching paint dry, at least with our 3 stooges at center they give me a good laugh. Dampier plays uninspired and as far as I am concerned only cares about collecting his check and heading back to MISS. during the offseason...

One thing you forget, coming to NY would make him accountable to the media here. They would either pump him up after a monster game or two and he would actually believe his press clippings and play consistant or he would play so hard for the fans of NY and media that he would hurt himself trying to be athletic.

Nope I was talking about Dampier. Dice was just straight ballin when he got hurt, he wasn't trying to be he already was athletic.

Unfortunately for both him and us, his knee isn't as athletic as the rest of him. He went from straight ballin' to straight limpin' and crippled our hopes of a better season.

We are just gonna have to swallow the 13.5M this year and be glad it'll be freed up next year.

I told you guys Frank Williams was gonna be the man, just give him time. I really don't want to hear all those Bustas who rag on Knicks young players BECAUSE they will be fine. Some of ya'll hate Layden so much that ya can't even find good THINGS TO SAY about his picks Lampe williams and sweetney. LAYDEN AND CHANEY WILL NOW LEAD THIS TEAM OUT FROM BENEATH THE ROCK. YOUTH AND VETS WILL SHUT A LOT OF HATERZ UP.

Now will people admit that Last yr Franks fractured wrist and bad diet and being so young had something to do with him playing so poorly for the knicks? I think Layden got 3 gems in the last 2 drafts F.williams Sweetney and Lampe.
