Several commentators pointed out, and I agree, that one of the more amazing things about Curry's 40 pt performance was that he didn't dominate the ball. He had relatively few touches, he just scored every time he touched the ball and as soon as he touched the ball. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but it's somewhat unusual. FWIW, the point guard on Davidson's team is worth watching. He'll never go pro--even though he leads the NCAA in assists--because he's too slow, too small, and doesn't have a shot. However, for all that, he's still one of the very best NCAA points because he's fearless, clever, and nearly telepathic with his teammates. He reminds me a lot of some of Dean Smith's points from the 70s.
