My guy is Mcgee---we won't get pick 1 or 2 and I would take him 3.

Well it's a good thing a real GM wouldn't.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

He's going to go top 7 and he could easily go 3.

His game is Ok, he just doesn't overwhelm me when I see him play. He tends to go up soft, his back to the basket game is weak, he is decent spotting up, I mean there is nothing about him that I can say is flat out good... to me, he seems more like a late lottery pick..

I've seen both frye and lopez in college, i've seen every game brook has ever played in college, and they aren't similar. Brook basically has channing's jumper, but he's an excellent rebounder and is a very polished defender. he doesn't have the athleticism of a guy like dwight howard to throw down on everyone, but he knows how to finish around the basket and can score even when double teamed. he goes up against big guys like kevin love and still has good enough strength and post moves to score down low. last year as a freshman he had a triple double with pts rebs and blocks...i was against the frye pick from the start as well because you could tell frye was soft from arizona...brook doesnt look soft at all.

the tim duncan comparison is right on - obviously he's not as good as duncan but plays the same style and is probably the closest thing to tim duncan in college ball...consistent and a 2-way player

I totally agree man, I said pretty much the same exact same thing a few posts up.

if you don't want to compare him to duncan, he'll put up sheed-like numbers - both are good defenders, brook's shot isnt as good but he's got a better post game. tkf his back to the basket game is very polished and i'd say one of his biggest strengths....not sure what game you saw where his post game wasnt good.

Considering what we have and what style of play we went with I dont see why we werent higher on him especially with our need for shot blocking Curry's failures and injury. Even though he went 18 or whatever he was a high lottery pick type talent which I think will prove out. How badly could we use a Mcgee right now? We couldve traded down and came out with Mcgee and another pick or a future 1.

Not many were high on McGee because he looked over-matched in the camps. This is still pre-season. Let him prove what he can do in a real NBA game...for a full season.

And even if that is the case, stop beating a dead horse. What's done is done. We drafted Gallinari. Move on.

See folks you can use the Bush doctrine in any situation. It's not appropriate to question a draft pick after the pick was already made.

How exactly can you question a pick 4 months after a draft? Wait 3 years and then make a topic complaining about something. Talking about a guy drafted at 18 and how we missed out and how Briggs can once again tell us how much of a draft genius he is does not really add anything to this forum.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Gallinari looked pretty good in the one game he's played so far, too. Let's wait and see if he's damaged goods or whether he can make the rotation.

but weren't u the guy who guaranteed there'd be no good talent available after 15 when we discussed those Philly trade rumors to dump Zach's salary? i coulda sworn it was you... yeah, it was you.
