Mayo isn't nearly as talented as his press clippings indicate. Athletically, he not in the neighborhood of Bayless or even Russel Westbrook.

THABEET!!! For too long this team has been living and mostly dying as an offense only team. I don't expect that adding another offensive player is gonna make one bit of diff, however a shotblocker could really be a move that helps to change our identity.

Just imagine having Thabeet out there at the end of games to help get a few much needed stops. In recent games i've seen this teams perimeter players actually do some decent defending, but they have NOTHING behind them to keep penetrators from getting to the basket. It's tough to stop ALL penetration when teams set so many picks. It would also allow our perimeter defenders like Balk and Mardy to play more in a defensive unit and they can be FAR more aggressive knowing they have someone to back them up if their man gets by them.

Let's shift direction and go for DEFENSE in this draft.

I really think we need a promising big center. The guard situation can be addressed next, but we definately need a center to build around. I been looking at and reading about Lopez. He's definately promising. And a big defensive asset. I'll check out Thabeet and let you's know what I think.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I checked out Hasheen Thabeet.

I'm not that impressed.

His height of 7'-3" should be pretty intimidating, but that's about it. He's too soft and virtually no offensive game.

I don't see how he would be the next dominating big man of the NBA. He's like another Bol. All he could do was block shots.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I think Deandre Jordan or Russel Westbrook with pick #5 give you the best odds of coming away with an all-star.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

mayo is a big talent....i don't think the brandon roy comparisons are that off.

as far as thabeet goes, no thanks...he reminds me too much of dalembert. I'd take brook lopez over him...he's a real polished low post scorer and has very good defensive instincts, very passionate about the game. him and dlee would be a nice foundation at the 4-5. If we go for guards I'd go rose, mayo, then gordon (and i like gordon). bayless is pretty talented but I'm not sold on him yet
