nyk - exponentially is an outstanding word

Rose bothers me a bit

I'd go small with Bayless for the quickness and his ability to manage the floor. I think Jerryd would increase the productivity of Lee, Balkman, Morris and The Mayor - exponentially.

I'm actually curious who folks would take if we get the 3rd pick.

This is assuming whoever goes 1 & 2 take Beasley and Rose.

T.Hansbough

Seems like people are sleeping on him...If the Knicks draft Hansbough they can trade D.Lee for another pick.

Hansbough is a major steal no matter where he goes. He is a monster. He's cut now also so he is prime and ready to play pro bal right now. I just thank God he is playing ball and not a police officer or something.

Knicks need a second draft pick......I'm so greedy.

Go Big Or Go Home

nyk4ever - yes

Jordan has the type of agility, mobility and hostility the Knicks have missed since the days of Marcus Camby

what, are you thinking about going against the grain and going big?

Well, if I had to choose between the 2, I'd take Thabeet, only because I've seen him just dominate games defensively and I've seen his offense really come on since last year. I think he's improving exponentially.

I'd still rather Derrick Rose over any of them though.

His team sort of blows other than Bill Walker, but they won the last game and will likely be in the tourney. Nothing wrong with a freshman leading a team to 19-10, 9-6 in the Big 12. They haven't even made the NCAA Tourney in 12 years!

Hansbrough isnt coming out and he isnt better than Lee. He is a 6-8 post man and not near as athletic. Tyler is my guy but he will struggle in the pros

If you guys have not seen Beasley, please get to a TV screen. This guy has been pheonomenal the past few weeks. To me he is having every bit as good a season as Durant had last year, probably better cause he shoot 54%. This kid scores in every way- he can step out and hit the college 3. He is basically unguardable and is dropping 30 automatically these days with double digit rebounds every night.

I don't disagree with any of that. What does jump out at me though is that his team keeps on losing. It's pretty rare that when there is a NCAA player as good and talented, and puts up the kind of numbers that Beasely puts up, that the players team actually loses. Makes me wonder. I'm not saying he's a bad teammate or anything, I'm just saying.. makes you wonder.

I think Thabeet needs another year
I just hope that people will like me

He IS coming out and he is 10x better than Lee. you, my friend, have obviously not seen enough Tar Heels game the past 2 years.

Hansborough is the BEST big man coming out this year. And in reality, the only college player ready to play RIGHT NOW in the NBA.
Beasley is benefitting from damn near being the only scoring option in KS...same as Gordon but Gordon is more inconsistent.
Rose plays with 4 other future NBA players...

Thabeet is a bum

Hibbett is a BIGGER bum.

This years draft is weak. All these freshmen need to stay another year.

It's very confusing after 2 but 1-2 are easy. There is no way that Michael Beasley isnt going 1. We need Michael Beasley so badly--he is a sure fire star. Rose has star caliber in him but he is NOT Michael Besaley. IMO you will also see Beasley's passing go into the 4-5 range in the nBA because hes a willing passer. Michael Beasley will average 24-25 points grab 9 rebounds with 4 ast shooting 50% year 1. In this case it could change the Knicks from a 20 win team to a 50 win team with a few other subtle moves. Rose will help but NO WAY will he have the same impact on this team Beasley would.

King, coached Hansbrough, I think he knows what he's talking about when he talks about Tyler... lol.

I agree about the freshman though, it would be nice if they all stayed another year, they all have things they can definitely work on.

It sure is Briggs, it's REALLY hard after #2. If we get pick 1, you have to take Beasely, he has the skills to be an all-time player. I think Rose has very good skills but like Beasely has.

With all that being said, I'm a proponent of building a team where the PG, can play at different speeds, spread the ball around, shoot, slash, and D up and I just don't see to many guys coming into the league that have the ability to do that like Rose. Yeah, a few years ago you had CP3 and Deron, but that was just sheer luck, these guys don't come around that often and hardly ever the same draft. Thats why I personally would love to have Rose, but deep down I know you have to take Beasely.

But back to your point Briggs, things get quirky when pick 3 roles around. I honestly don't think theres that big of a difference this year picking 3 or 6, that's not to say these guys aren't good, but more the fact that all the players there are probably going to be rated closely together(Gordon, Bayless, Brook Lopez, Thabeet) and you're just going to have to pick which one you think will have the higher upside and the better pro career or the guy that fits your plan better.

Decisions, decisions.
