Knicks need a PG and SF. And since the Knicks wont have the #1 pick to draft BEASLEY, the only player worth a damn this year, I would take a hard look at Augustine.

If Knicks plan to move J.Crawford....Chris Lofton would be someone else I would consider.

How are the Knicks set at C, PF and SG? Give me a break man!!

The Knicks are not set at those positions, but those positions are already crowded as it is. How much sense those it make to draft a center when you still have James, Curry and Morris on the payroll? or another PF to take away Lee minutes?

Knicks NEED a PG. thats the first thing they need to address in the off-season....and although the 3 spot is also over crowded, none of SF are capable of hitting a open jumper..so if a player like Beasley falls on our laps, they HAVE TO draft him.

So you wouldn't draft a Center because of stiffs like Eddy Curry, Jerome James and Randolph Morris? Do you realize how silly this sounds? That's like saying you won't draft a PG because you have Scott Brooks, Rick Brunson and Howard Eisley on a team. Realize the Knicks don't have ANYTHING on their roster that is good. They need EVERYTHING. Including a Center.

Hasheem Thabeet and Roy Hibbert is 100x better then those 3 scrubs.

Knicks would need an overwhelming amount of luck to get a shot at Beasley or Derrick Rose......that's why I started this thread......5-7 is what we are looking at.

We've been talking a lot about DJ Augustine.....one of the draft sites compare him to travis best. I think that's on point.....but nate kinda reminds me of travis best now that I mention it....

Anyway, the Knicks have some thinking to do. Augustine is a damn good player. He is a step below rose and bayless but in the same league as collison.

I think getting the sure thing is more important. The Knicks have been drafting good role guys. It would be nice to get a player that can play that's not disgruntled and already signed to big money long term.

The team with the worst record in the NBA isn't a gurantee to win the lottery.

Portland was tied for the 6th worst record last yr and won the lotter. Memphis with the worst record took pick #4. Boston with the #2 worst took pick #5, Miluakee with the 3rd worst record took pick #6.

Season before, Portland had the worst record in the NBA and finished with the #4 pick(they traded up with the Bulls who had the Knicks pick for #2). Knicks with the 2nd worst record had the #2 pick. Toronto won the lottery with the 5th worst record in the NBA.

2005 Miluakee won the lottery with the 5th worst record
2004 Orlando won the lottery with the worst record in the NBA
2003 Cavs & Denver were tied for the worst 2 records. Cavs got the #1 pick. Denver got the #3 pick. Memphis who had the #6 worst record landed the #2 pick(which handed over to Detroit because of a trade from yrs past)

We currently hold the 4th worst record in the NBA.

So since the 2003 draft the team with the 5th or 6th worst record in the NBA has won the #1 or #2 4 out of the 5yrs.

D.J. Augustine is MUCH better than Travis Best as a PG. D.J. reminds me of Damon Stoudamire with Toronto/Portland.

ok...you're stating the obvious.

Lets try this....what do the Knicks need MORE? A PG or a Center??

The way I see it, Curry is one of the best when it comes to low post scoring. He sucks at rebounding and he's a liability on the defensive end but whats to say that doesnt change if the RIGHT coach is here to teach him and implement some kind of scheme to help him and this team?

I would like to see ROSE stay in school for one more year. See what he can do when its HIS team. Right now, he's not even the best player on the team, imo

Eddy Curry is total garbage to me. He scores at the expense of 10 turnovers. Five from him and 5 from his teammates trying to get him the ball. He also stalls an offense. He's terrible and will not be a starting Center on a good team.

I'm taking the best overall talent. Don't care if he's a Center or a PG. Knicks need EVERYTHING.

I don't think Jerryd Bayless will be there at 5. He's the 3rd best player behind Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose.

You have to take the best guard talent and character wise. If our team was set up different you draft Thabeet no doubt. We have to have a scorer from the wing that is efficient. I like EG, Rose and Bayless.

O.J. Mayo or Jerryd Bayless would be the best player on this team at both ends.
