Shotblocking is our main need... i don't know how many times everyone around here has to say it for the message to finally sink in to Isiah's crap filled cranium.

i think there's been tons of threads where a lot of us were screaming for us to get a shotblocker on this team... i just can't understand how Isiah doesn't see it when it's staring him right in the face everytime someone waltzes straight to the basket for an uncontested layup on every other possession... it's ridiculous.

Isiah is fixated on reclamation projects that can play offense. The fans understand that basketball is made up of offense and defense and in oreder to win you have to do both. But somehow he thinks we are idiots. It's like a Nascar driver racing in the Indy 500 with two tires but trying to convince everyone he is going to dominate. And when he loses he blames it on the fact that there is a new trend in Nascar where most drivers are starting to use 4 tires.

Shot Blocking?

See, there's a problem with this term because I see people who believe that if we only add Stephen Hunter, who is a shot blocker, all is well and we're on our way.

Which is a highly irresponsible way of thinking because guys like Stephen Hunter are absolute trash at everything except Shot Blocking. So now you have a guy blocking shots who can't rebound, cant pass, cant score.

So you've now opened up an entirely new problem that will keep you right where you are : SUCKING ASS

What we need is a complete player that can do what Eddy does on offense, can do what Zach does with rebounding, can do what Hunter does in blocking shots, can do what CWebb does with passing, can do what Ewing did with leadership.


THATS WHEN YOUVE NOW MADE AN ADDITION TO YOUR TEAM THAT MATTERS AT ALL.

One thing the Knicks are is smallish. Isiah is wrong that little men dominate this league. We actually need a 7 footer who can play--we have needed this since Marcus Camby left. One thing about this draft is IF we dont get lucky to get up to top 3 --there will be a mutlitude of choices we can look at. It's the Knicks job to get the right one. You have three skill players Lopez Koufus and Hibbert and two raw but promising guys Jordan and Thabeet.
