That's what is so frustrating. Some idiot fans will cheer for trades like the 5th pick for Ron Artest and Stephon Marbury for Jermaine O'Neal. It pisses me off when I see fans cheering at the Garden for these losers. Same idiot people who want Isiah Thomas gone, yet they still go to games and root for these loser players. These people make me sick!!

Draft pick+ Marbury expiring contract to Sacremento for Miller and Artest
MLE to someone
Collins Morris out
I know it--it's what they will try to do.

Can we even acquire Artest before July 1rst? Are you saying the player we draft will get traded to Sac after Artest signs a new deal in which we give to him?

I would be on board with the following.

Hire: Donnie Walsh
Coaching Staff: Van Gundy, Oakley, Ewing, Herb Williams

Dolan: Public Letter of apology to fans

Zach, Balkman, Morris for Jermaine O'Neal
Curry to Sacremento for Ron Artest
Stepon Marbury and a future #1 for Mike Miller/Lowry and Cardinals contract
Draft Pick on a young Guard

O'Neal/James
Lee/Rose
Artest/Q/Chandler
Miller/Nate
Crawford/Lowry

I don't think this a bad team especially with O'Neal, Artest, Lowry defending and a good mix of shooters, defenders, etc.

I would never re-hire a coach that quit on the Knicks - so definitely JVG should never ever be re-hired. Also just look at how much better the Rockets are playing offensively and 'defensively' under Adelman versus JVG. JVG is also a limelight hog - and I would not think we need another coach -who wants to be a star. I don't want to see JVG trying to keep steppin gon the court and break up fight's when he should know better.

Marbury should be allowed to expire- as this is very important going into 2009/2010 if we ever get lucky enough to get a Le Bron or even Dwayne Wade, Bosh etc.

No one will take Curry- so you better gethim his own special coach and trainer to work with him the entire off-season and season. Crawford should be traded - maybe for a Concussion prone Gerald Wallace?

Artest - I am not sold on - between Randolph, Q Rich, Nate- we already have enough combustible players on this roster. It is one thing to have intensity - it's another to lack self-control. Maybe a Randolph for Artest - but I would hate to see it - because I do think Randolph is a good player - although over-paid - but then again - Artest would be over-paid as well IMO. Of the two - it's a toss up to me.

I doubt - we will trade the draft pick - hopefully - its either Gordon or Bayless.

The Knicks have been bad for more than ten years- and making it to the first round of the playoffs- should not be seen as an accomplishment that reflects the quality of the teams progress to being a perennial contender IMO.

no one is excited to give away draft picks, and the trades above start to trade the culture. Lowry, Miller are very tradeable, and i don't need to watch curry and zach for another 3 years to know the team is going to be unwatchable and have character issues. you start by making moves to bring in players that actually have value and compliment each other. If we can get JO for Zach and a few spare parts it's foolish not to, even giving away next years pick to get a player like that out of the organization is a potive.

You actually then have a post presence to go with three shooters, and scrappy energy guys off the bench.

Artest is one of the best players in the NBA hands down he is the best on ball defender in the league and does a little of everything.....

If you want to wait and stay with Zach and Eddy i don't know what to tell you, that is an idiot act.

firstly, i don't know any idiots around here except those who actually think there would be fans who would cheer moves like that, unless u're talking about fans on the outside who know nothing at all about things concerning cap space, etc., in which case my bad... secondly, anyone who spends money to go to games is going to cheer for the team to do well... i know i would... i'm pretty sure you would be too if you were there, otherwise i have no idea what you're doing wasting time posting on a Knicks forum... personally i'm staying away from games this year until they start looking like they care about winning consistently, but how do you knock people for rooting at the games... that's what being a "fan" is called, when u have a vested interest in your team's overall success.

i'd be on board w/all those moves except for the Marbury & a future pick for Miller & Lowry... if we're using our pick to take a young G in the lottery, what's Lowry gonna do here? we would still have Jamal & Nate fighting for playing time along w/the new rook, who would in all likelihood be a better prospect anyway.

I will NEVER attend a Knicks game under the current regime. They can offer me courtside seats and I would not take them.

The plan is to get rid of Crawford and keep Nate.

Lowry get to the rim at will doesn't turn it over and plays great defense. We don't need Jamal he isn't a winning player.

but a major part of that plan is to draft & develop a franchise G, in which case why bother giving up a pick just to get Lowry? u can get guys like him in the draft every year if u ask me & Nate's just as good if not better at getting to the rim anyway... i'm not totally against trading Jamal to upgrade the team, but i don't see what the big fascination is around here for a guy like Lowry... i'd much rather see us draft a superstar G, play him w/Jamal or Nate in the backcourt, & keep our picks going forward to fill other areas of need on this roster going forward, like another bigman to back up JO in that scenario of yours because he's got an injury history & we would be a little thin upfront if he went down after trading away Zach & Curry.
