I'm deeply saddened that the few guys I believed to be true fans have now decided to throw Isiah under the bus after all he has done for this team. I had accepted that some posters were impatient and unwilling to wait and see what would happen. But I also knew that others understood (or so I thought) the importance of supporting them and giving the players a chance. I do not agree that we should just toss all these players on the scrap heap. I believe that it is just a matter of time before Isiah gets through to this team and brings out the playoff team that I know is within. When evaluating Isiah we should try to remember what a difficult task he began with. He took over for Scott Layden who tried to make the team the New York Jazz with slow old un-athletic players. He brought in younger, more athletic players, and got us to the playoffs one year. Then, just when everything was coming together, he was cruely betrayed by Larry Brown, who forced him to trade for Steve Francis and Jalen Rose, then promptly thew Isiah under the bus. I think we don't know how lucky we are to have Isiah, and I fear he may leave us, having been run over by that bus so many times.
