they are still glowing from all of the NY trades and don't care too much. They have like 10 years good karma

LOL.

It must be nice to be able to make a bad signing (Ben Wallace) and then be able to trade that contract away for basically nothing. When will we learn.

This trade just puts Cleveland ahead of the class. Well, at least right there with Boston.

PG-West
SG-LeBron
SF-Wally
PF-Big Ben
C-BigZ

Why can't we rebuild like these other teams?

Wally don't miss open shots. This just opens up the lane for LeBron. Try penetrating against Big Ben and BigZ. Yes. I think they are better than Detroit.

They must be expecting Big Ben to play better than he did in Chicago this year. Is he gonna play PF with Big Z at C?

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have beaten the NBA's annual trade buzzer to get LeBron James some of the fresh help he's been openly craving.

In a three-way trade with Chicago and Seattle that has been submitted for league approval, NBA front-office sources say that Cleveland will come away with four new teammates for James, headlined by Ben Wallace from the Bulls and sharpshooter Wally Szczerbiak from the Sonics.

The league office was notified of the deal before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trading deadline, sources said, and is currently reviewing the trade details as required for formal approval.

After Cleveland watched two longstanding trade targets land elsewhere -- Mike Bibby in Atlanta and Jason Kidd in Dallas -- sources say that the deal calls for the Cavaliers to receive Wallace, Szczerbiak, Seattle point guard Delonte West, Chicago's Joe Smith and a future second-round pick from the Bulls.

The Bulls, apparently abandoning their gamble on Wallace less than two seasons into the lucrative four-year deal they used to sign him away from Detroit, would get Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden and swingman Larry Hughes along with Cavs reserves Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown.

The Sonics, shedding Szczerbiak in the name of additional payroll flexibility, come away with the expiring contracts of Cleveland's Ira Newble and Chicago's Adrian Griffin as well as Cavs veteran Donyell Marshall.

ummm Detroit's offense isn't tailored around guard penetration.

And because Dyess has range out to 20 and Sheed has range out to 29, those guys are going to have to STEP AWAY FROM THE PAINT to defend. In that series it'll likely be alot more Smith and Wallace out there than Big Z and Wallace...and we saw how well that has worked in Chicago.

I like Wally for the offense but whether you have him chasing Rip around screens or trying to guard Prince in an iso, he is at a clear disadvantage

LOL @ the Bulls. How far have they falling, Conteder to firing the coach to breaking the team up.

I Like the Cavs and the sonics moves though. Cavs can go small with LBJ and have him with nothing but shooters on the court with Wally, West, Gibson, and Big Z when they need points. Plus I'm not sure but getting joe smith might be better then getting Big ben. JS been like the bulls david Lee this year. He'll drop a 20 and 10 ever now and again off the bench.

Chicago got totally screwed in this deal. Just what they needed, a weak PF and another shooter, a low % shooter at that.

Im so happy.

this trade actually seems like a total panic move by Cleveland. they must be worried about losing Lebron. Big Ben is old. Wally can shoot and little else. Delonte helps them though.

another great trade by Seattle, though.

Panic deal?

I think they just added a shooter and a rebounder to put around LEbron. That's normally what you do with stars, you find players that compliment them. Who knows if it will work, but it makes sense to me.

I think acquiring Zach could be closer to a panic move than this one.

Cleveland should be the favorite in the East now. Delonte can shoot and he's a threat on defense as well. Both Wally and Big Z can also hit from out outside. Wallace brings defense and rebounding.

If West and Wally can create a shot every once in a while and give King James some rest, then that starting lineup is an interesting fit.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Cleveland improved, but I don't think they are better than the Celtics. Especially if the Celtics manage to get Rondo a good backup.

Having said that I will root for anyone Vs. the Celtics. I actually want Detroit to come out of the East, I can't believe I just wrote that.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
