See I think differently than you guys. I think the fact that these guys weren't traded will galvanize this team. They will realize that NY hasn't given up on them and wants to give them time to develop and grow together. They will appreciate that despite his job insecurity Isiah has stuck by them and has shown that he is willing to put his faith in them. I fully expect them to come together and play the game of their lives against Toronto.

I then fully expect them to follow that up with 8 or 9 straight losses.

It's evidence Isiah is done here. You know the players have quit on him, and no coach wants players who wont play for them.

He's being made to sleep in his own shti, as well he should. Hopefully Grunwald is maneuvering behind his back and undermining his influence with the players too.

He's "done"... yet Dolan will never fire him.

Ric Bucher on Sportscenter said that the Knicks were telling everyone that they have a major move in the works, days prior to the deadline, yet it never happened. I wonder if Isiah/Grunwald was blowing smoke or something actually fell apart?

Something actually did fall apart the day Isiah was hired. How does he still have a job. Are people as outraged as I am about last night. Idon't even want to talk about trades. I want to know how a GM can put together a team that can consistently not show up and still have a job.

He wont be here next year. The fans don't want him, the players don't want him and the commissioner doesn't want him. I don't think Dolan even wants him. He's gone before the draft.

On a side note. Isiah's excuse for last night's debacle was the trade deadline. I think he can use the same excuse for every game forward: players too despondent because they're still on the team.

I was extremely pissed last night Bip, but sadly, I've come to expect performances like that from this franchise.

Of course he made it up. Isiah wouldn't say something like that! Isiah's excuse for last night was playing in the same building that Larry Brown currently works in. And if you think about it, it makes perfect sense, and totally excuses Isiah and the team for last night's performance.

I am not outraged at all. Those of us with a long term view are capable of ascertaining that the inherent conflict between the supposition of the acquisition phase, notwithstanding all other considerations, and taking into account complete separation, thereby.

Isiah has established a dynamic intersection of elements that can conflate to engender a continuance of the underlying components of an ever expanding base of highlighted virtues certain to contribute to the development of seaworthiness.

The course of the ship, being in a state we might consider a varying and incomplete, but nevertheless increasing the intuitiveness of the defensive scheme will nonetheless get back on course.

That's funny Slim, but I was thinking about that last night - the way Philly, not a very good team, has totally owned us this year. I don't know if it's kharma, or that our players feel too much guilt around him, or their guys want to prove something to us, but there's more than just a talent and effort differential going on there. They play like they're on a mission against us and we lay down for them.

Poor Mo Cheeks, he once had mean old Larry as his coach. Now he's a coach. Someday another Brown disciple, Mark Jackson, might be a coach. Perhaps Eric Snow and Chauncey Billips will too. Poor guys, all had to play for mean ol' Larry Brown. They should have quit on him like our hero, Steph.

I'm not happy. It's not that Isiah was not allowed to make deals, he tried to peddle Zach Randolph away for long-term deals. He tried to get Vince Carter. He hasn't been muzzled by Dolan, our players and their contracts are just 100% untradeable.

Isiah isn't going away, he just couldn't find a way to deepen our cap hell this time out. He'll do "better" this summer.
