Gerald Green is one guy that I've wanted all year long. I'm disappointed we couldn't have done a deal like this for him.

Really? I think at some point people need to start asking how good is this kid. I mean really, all they managed to get was a 2nd round pick and a 9th man off the bench?

I don't think it's a guarentee or anything that he ends up being halfway decent, but I think there he has a solid chance. I don't know if he had a poor attitude or what when he was in Minnesota but when you watch this kid play (when he does get time) you see some solid potential. I just think he needs some burn and some solid coaching.

I'm just saying....It's one thing to be included in a trade that involves one of the greatest players playing the game today.

It's another to be traded, again 6 months later, by team that's supposedly rebuilding, for a 2nd rounder and a player that's probably not going to be in the NBA next year.

I'm with ya man. Theres no doubt that it's a bit worrisome, but from what I've seen this year, he still looks like he has a future.

All I'm saying is that for the price that was paid, couldn't we have given up something similiar? Fred Jones and a 2nd rounder or something? Minimal risk, high reward. If pans out - great. If he doesn't - didn't give up anything.

I guess we'll find out in Houston what he's made of.

low risk, high reward move..... great for houston..

We just can't get anything done.

Oh What joy watching everyone else get better or at least make moves that gives them options and flexibility with very low risk.

were you really expecting any moves? really? I mean I read where Isiah was trying not to dump salary, but get players.. LOL.. he is an *******... all he is trying to do, is win enough games, so that he can brainwash our dope owner into thinking this shytstain of a team has a chance next year.. He would spin it on the injuries to marbury and zach and curry not meshing. Isiah is not tying to build for the future, he is trying to desperately win 30 games this year, so he can dick slap dolan into keeping his sorry ass around.. **** Isiah and **** this ****ing team...

Well if he's trying to make the playoffs obviously he needed to make a trade or at least work the phones harder than any GM to strike a deal. Just from discussions alone should have led to gleaning a trade unwarranted. Honestly do you believe Mchale called up the Rockets to get Snyder and their second round pick or vice versa? They probably called each other or got got called in from a different team about different players which led to the Green trade. I mean come on we have two guys working the phones here, WTF is Grunwald doing? Uh you're right what am I thinking they aren't getting called but instead getting hung up on when they make them.

I agree with you, and I didn't want Isiah to make any deals, but a deal like this is a must. You get a kid who has the chance to be a good player, and if all pans out a spectacular player, simply because he has out of this world athletic ability... if all it took was fred jones and a future first, then you do the got damn trade.... Instead, Isiah is trying to make these ass backwards deals that adds more salary to this toilet bowl called the NY knicks.... I don't get it with him, I just don't... did anyone even bother to tell this ass that the playoffs were over for him two months ago?

TKF let me apologize because I forgot when you look at this trade it's Kirk Snyder and a 2008 2nd round pick.

Where did our second round pick go?

Mchale may have called I SAY UGH and says:

"Hey I have a few things on the table but nothing major any interest?"

I SAY UGH:

"Well sure I wouldn't mind having Marko Jaric and Antoine Walker."

Mchale:

"Well I'm not interested in taking on any salary or making any major deals. I do like a couple of your younger players and I have a nice expiring to offer."

I SAY UGH:

"Well I'm not interested in dumping salary for any expirings and taking on younger players is not my thing either because I lose games playing young guys. I would like to phase out my Big Men. The league is moving away from them did you know that?"

Mchale:

"Uhhhhh I really love my Big Al Jefferson so no I'm not putting him in any discussions. I was thinking something small like moving Gerald Green for a small contract and a pick."

I SAY UGH:

"I do have a player who I have great affection for and that's Fred Jones. I really hate to give him up in a trade. My plan was to resign him to a 5yr full MLE deal this summer. Gerald is a very talented player who could help us thrive in our running scheme next yr Push-Jive is what I call it."

"I'll give you Fred Jones and you said you wanted a second round pick right? You mean our 2008 2nd round pick? Uhhhhhhh Ummmmmmm well I gave that to the Blazers in the Francis/Frye for Randolph/Jones/Dickau/Demetris deal. I waived Nichols too for nothing, so I can't even offer him to you."

Word on the street is Gerald Green has crazy athleticism, but he doesn't know how to play the game.

Going back to his home state my do him some good nba kids need a lot of support., houston might just get lucky.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

don't blame isiah- I think dolan put him on ice as far as making moves.

dolan should have bitten the bullet and gotten a new gm in here- unless he knows that who he'd like to get (colangelo?) isn't available until the summer?

Gerald Green is a punk.. Like Darryl Dawkins, Dr. J, Charles Barkley, and Magic Johnson want a pair of his shoes? He carries himself like a kid. The talent is astounding, the lack of character is too.

Green was touted as a T-Mac clone. Now he gets to see the real thing up close. Should improve his game as long as they can improve his work ethic. Green's one of those guys who was always told he was the best. I don't think he was ready for the NBA.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You would be amazed how many say they go to john lucas for personal player training development , but in reality have a substance abuse problem.

Hes the one guy who understands both and can relate so well with that kind of player better than the team's personel.
