Best players period. Peja/Yao/Gasol/Miller/Nowitzki, Nash - can be starters on any NBA team. It's not about 'diversity' its about talent. I would hate to see - any continued discrimination in this day and age. There are a lot f latin players in baseball - not because they are latin but because they are better/work harder on their game. Look at the french players - Parker/ Diaw etc- its not about where your from - its about how good your game is-
I am so tired of the KVH, Shuan Bradley/ Austin croshere lovers-
Well, short of sounding like a racist, I look at this team and it's just about all black and I see no players with a good game here. So isn't it worth while to try something different here? I mean sometimes you really do need 'diversity' to make something good happen. I think it's a fair view.
Its all about perspective. From your warped perspective this might sound fair but to me, you are really toeing the racist line. There should not be a quota on how many european players should be mandated to wear a Knick uniform. Ny is known as the melting pot but that doesn't mean we have to have a team reflect the various colors of the rainbow on our team. If thats the case, should the NBA mandate that half of the Utah Jazz be mormon?
This is a ridiculous notion on your part. Bottom line, Knicks need to figure a way to get the most talented pg they can find. It shouldn't matter what the pg backgorund is, as long as he fills a need.
And for you to say that when you look at this team, all you see is black....well....welcome to the NBA. And fr you to also mention that these black players dont have a good game, and they are lazy on defense really rubs me the wrong way. Not sure if you meant it that way but its the way I recieved it. Perspective.

Funny, but as soon as I sound like I'm attacking color here, suddenly I have a warped mind. And how' many times have I heard people say here that we have no defense, even as far as saying lazy defense? I had to think about what I was trying to say, in the way it was going to come out. This is the problem: You almost can't mention it, because of color. On the subject of most of the NBA being black, that's no surprise at all. I have cited several teams winning championships, being of mixed races, and I will equally do the same for dominate black teams. Lakers & Pistons. Even though the Pistons had Lambier in the middle and the Lakers with Rambis as a sixth man, clearly the team where dominately black.
There's nothing wrong with that, either way. I don't mean to rub anyone the wrong way on this subject. I always believe when you have a 'team' and if that team' is not doing very well, then these subjects tend to come up from time to time. Let's not pretend there is no color here. If you talk about it, and I"m not afriad to talk about it, for those of you who know me, then talk about it in the most reasonable way that you can. I hope this takes some of the warpness off of it. This is the way I tried to bring up the subject. I hope it doesn't just get pushed to the side.
I think we gave this Isiah project more' than enough time to prove itself and frankly, it's really getting pretty old.
I'd like to take the opportunity to quote Obama: We need REAL change, and not' the same old politics as usual! Nuff said.
I'll never trust this' team again.
