Sooooo... the Bulls get to dump more overpaid trash on us for our expiring, picks, and like Lee or something?

Oh HELL no.

Fire Isiah Thomas before it's too late!!!!!! (And in too late I mean 09 or 2010 are no longer viable dates to write down to be torn down and ready to build it back up properly)

cosmic look at the deal we get to free up roster space and get rid of qbum
rose and wallace are the same bum so nothing changes there and no fred mean more time for chanlder and nate

Yeah, ok, nice for us, but the question is WHY ON EARTH WOULD CHICAGO DO THIS?????????? That's what guys around here are saying. You guys just don't get it man.

You wanna come up with trade scenarios, that's fine. Just no more one-sided ones ok. If it doesn't work out for the other team in some capacity, any capacity at all, DON'T BOTHER POSTING IT. AND IF YOU POST A TRADE PROPOSAL - TELL US HOW IT BENEFITS THE OTHER CLUB. Otherwise, don't bother anymore guys, OK?

Expiring contract of Freddie Jones and Malik only has 1 more year in his contract. Ben also has worn out his welcome in ChiTown.

I would agree with NYCbocker- F Jones expires this year basically, M. Rose would probably be bought out for a lot less than his contract (we all know he wants to go back to San Antonio -like Antonio Davis wanted to go back to Toronto), and Q Rich would give them a much needed back up for Luol Deng- as we can see from the last few games. I am pretty sure they will let Duhon go and probably trade Ty Thomas and maybe Q Rich and or a late round pick for a PF/ Center like a J O Neil. So they would have an up tempo game with little defense, a core of experienced key players -Deng/O Neil/ Hinrich/ Nocioni and still have Thebo, Noah, Griffin, Q Rich coming off the bench.

The Bulls will be in major cap trouble with both Deng and Gordon needing an extension. I am pretty sure that Gordon won't get it - as they already have Hinrich, Deng and Noah as the decided core. If they get rid of Wallace- they have the room to sign Deng and not be over the cap-in addition - to M Rose and F Jones in terms of them coming off the cap. Q Rich while over-paid - is a useful two player -if he ever gets his stroke back - and like McDyess/Camby, etc -he will become healthy and productive once leaving the Knicks.

Personally I think- in this scenario - the Knicks would be in the driver's seat -so to speak- as they can afford some luxury tax and Krause is notorious for not wanting to be over the luxury cap- I am sure he regrets the Elton Brand move like crazy right now a well as the Tyson Chandler move.

I really don't see the benefit for the Knicks - because we have a younger, more mobile, no offense, great defense and good shot blocker in Balkman -as it is- who is being paid a LOT LESS. Unless it's a 3 way deal -where another team -like Houston - may be tempted to swap a hurt McGrady for an aging defensive guy -to help Battier and take some pressure off Yao Ming. But really - I see no benefit for the Knicks in this trade- although -the Knicks are not the best defensive team in the league by a stretch- B. Wallace is not going to help the Knicks get better in a hurry at all.

Ben Wallace For Kirilenko?
February 10, 2008 - 7:24 am
Chicago Tribune -
Ben Wallace appears to be on the block, being offered to the Lakers before Pau Gasol landed in L.A., and more recently being linked to the Knicks.

Another scenario, Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune is reporting, could be sending Wallace to the Utah Jazz for Andrei Kirilenko.

According to Smith, trading Kirilenko for Wallace would save the Jazz $21 million as Kirilenko is paid more annually than Wallace. With an extension, most likely for the max, coming up for Deron Williams it may make sense.

In the off season Kirilenko was upset at the Jazz and asked to be traded, and while his play and attitude do not appear to have been a distraction for Utah this season, he has never actually rescinded that trade request.

Asked by reporters about a trade, according to Smith, Kirilenko hardly said he would like to stay.

"It's not that I want to be traded, but I'm ready to be," he said. "Anybody in this league, they understand that position. Nobody wants to be traded. We're playing good. And I want to be part of it. But, again, it's a business—and it's not in my hands."

Wallace has told friends that he expects to be traded, and according to Smith the New York Knicks are high on his preference list.

"I just go out and do what I do," he said. "I'm fine with how it's going. Again, that's on management. There are a lot of teams out there making deals, trying to get better. Who knows? It don't worry me. It's a part of the business. If they're going to trade you, there's not much you can do. You have the best job in the world. It would just be in a different city. It don't bother me. The only time it starts bothering me is when nobody wants me." [READ]
