trueblue - it's curious that you feel the need to monitor whatever personalities are running across your screen based on content, but iyamwut is his own man/woman/other. Sorry to disappoint you.

bitty41 - McCoy absolutely rocks the house, but no one can hold a candle to Lenny Briscoe's one liners.

How can anyone not like a tv show that makes countless references to the Knicks?

Speaking of Law and Order, that show has absolutely been in the crapper since Jerry Orbach died, don't you think?

I mean, what has been up with the casting? It's been horrible!

They gotta get McCoy back as the Assistant D.A. and get a grizzled old white dude to partner with Green or that show is gonna get canceled. Steve Guttenberg Jr. as the other cop sucks bad!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Law and Order SVU is real good. Hargitay and Meloni are 2 Fuses of Rage. Whenever they are in an Episode that involves rape and little kiddies IT'S A WRAP! Not to mention I put Hargitay in the Alba thread and deservedly so, folks are sleeping on her. I have a taste for older looking sexier women. Women who look like little girls don't cut it. I will say Ice-T is absolutely terrible. His gangster one lining every thing he says on cue is so stale and talentless. Munch overall is dead weight, although surprises every once in while. The DA chick is a wannabe Bad Azz who needs to have the taste slapped out of her mouth by anyone and the Chief is Scwabb Cotton Ball folds when he's under pressure.

I was thinking some of the guys from The Closer would be great in Law and Order

Law and Order was great for a while, but it's been declining for years. It became too much about "ripped from the headlines" tabloid cases, branching off into all of the spin-offs, and just being milked for too long.

The Wire has it right, despite my desire to see it continue, and HBO's philosophy now in general, to end shows before they go on too long.

Another example of a former great show that should have died years ago is The Simpsons.

I have hated the Simpsons since inception, one of the worst shows ever IMO. I know it's considered one of the greatest but it really shouldn't be.

House, Cold Case, Law & Order SVU, K-Ville, The Shield are the only shows I can tolerate nowadays

Glad this turned into a L&O thread. Love that show. It's the only one I really watch when I get the time.

SUV has had some good episodes and Hargitay and Meloni do hold down that show.

Maybe I just like things neat and tidy within 1 hour.

It's SVU not SUV. No one's getting in the truck with you, you Perp/Perv. You Know The Motto Right....
"In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories."

Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler are on the hunt for you already

On a side note did anyone know they both will make the next 2yrs $6.5mil/yr $300,000-350,000 per episode? Kira Sedwig of the closer makes about the same.

Jerry Orbach he is missed. The references thats funny you mention it b/c in the early years it was "oh I was courtside at a Knick game" and now its "I watched the Knicks get their asses kicked"

trueblue,

Yea SVU has taken the lead in the franchise Benson is the shznit and Chris Meloni will always be Chris Keller (damn I miss those shower scenes in his combat boots).

Overall I can't stand much of TV and other then a few shows everything to me is barely watchable to unwatchable.
