i would not give up this year's 1st rounder for Kidd under any circumstances cuz we're more than likely gonna finish in the lottery... if it were for a protected future 1st rounder & some players off our roster i'm all for it.

maybe i missed something... who's saying we're likely gonna get Jason Kidd? in classic TrueBlue fashion you continue to imply things that just aren't true... it's OK to discuss hypotheticals w/o believing they're likely to come true... it's called discussing hypotheticals w/o believing they're likely to come true.

Kidd not having a no-trade clause matters if NJ are trying to shop him, but not if they're not. If he's demanding a trade, he has some kind of say over which trade he accepts. He's not coming to NY.

he can demand a trade all he wants, in the end it's the Nets' decision... there's only 1 player in the NBA w/trade veto powers & he plays for the Lakers... if the Nets decide to trade Kidd he has absolutely no say in it whatsoever.

& i agree w/u, he's not coming here... it was a hypothetical question.

Look, I get the point that Kidd doesn't have a no-trade clause. The point is that the Nets don't want to trade him. So, if the only trade that works with salaries etc.. is to the Knicks, and Kidd doesn't want to go there, then he won't be traded. Why? B/c the Nets don't wanto to trade him. If neither the Nets nor Kidd want a trade to the Knics, then it won't be happening.

Kidd is just upset cause his team stinks right now. They're in a bad funk.

The minute thye start winning games, this will be all forgotten. This is something to hopefully sparkplug the team. Kidd anint going anywhere!!!!

ALA Kobe and the Fakers. Same situation earlier in teh season..

If he does get traded somehow, don't be surprise if he joins forces with King James and the Cavaliers..
