how about we play Wilson Chandler some minutes & see what he can do?

If the knicks give wilson chandler minutes like a joe dumars would do, you would see a rookie prepared to play in the 2nd half of the season and put in the rotation.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

It would mean resigning - Elton/Kaman -you can make salaries match and stuff-

Kaman is under contracso you can't touch his salary.
Brand and Maggette would have to opt out, sign MAX deals with the Clips, and then be traded to us.

You want to be paying two more Max deals for 6 years?? For Corey Maggette?

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

18.1

1.65+ 3.55 for half year= 5.2mm

wally Z 25mm

6mm year 1===800K savings this year

year 2 5.3mm in savings

total 6.1mm in savings for Seattle and additional 5.3 in cap room next year

Insert him @ SF without taking on huge long term cash.

Why add to the Cluster of Starphucking for a player with a suspect knee? He's been playing this yr but not a ton of minutes. He plays no D at all. We need not to take on anymore salary at all cost. If anything you could probably trade Jones and Malik for 2 second round picks possibly picking up TE's in the process even if they are small. Where does that put our small forward total at Briggs 15 small forwards?

There is no rebuilding here brother. What we need to do is revamp and go. I do think we need to move Curry to the 6th man and move Lee into the starting position and let them all get 30 minutes. I think Lee can bring more enrgy to start the game and eddy can dominate second line players.

Why does Wally Z make sense? well we can move Q rich[because we have to] to starting 2 g and Jamal to 1--insert Waaly Z at SF where we can have a CONSISTENT scorer from the wing to go along with Jamal. I will save the lottery pick with ending contract to trade unless I get Beasley Gordon Rose or Bayless ----Knicks WILL NOT accept any project even if it has huge upside--they didnt do it with Bynum and no one else is close to that--so they wont do that. Maybe we can do what Layden did with Mcdyess with Brand---lottery pick player and get back later first rounder=== Billy Walker or DJ White.

I'm not really a fan of trading the lottery pick at this point, but you bring up an interesting scenario with a player like Elton Brand. Elton Brand is a stud who will actually make an impact on both sides of hte ball, but what exactly does he do with Randolph/Curry on board? I think he could play with Curry, but no way with Randolph

I would do the trade in less than a second. This team needs a starting SF and a starting SG.

If you put Wally at SG, you can start Balkman at SF. I would also love to trade either Zach or Curry and fit David Lee into the rotation. I'd even consider trading Zack for well below market(if there is such a thing) if we can get a few good bench players and get rid of some of the glut on our bench.

Crawford
Wally
Balkman
Lee
Curry

I still would want an upgrade at SF(Chandler may not be ready til next year, based on the small amount of playing time.-if he is an upgrade at all).

Trading Randolph for a SF would be great. I would love a deal like this:
Incoming Players
Chuck Hayes 6-6 SF / 3.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.1 apg in 22.4 minutes
Mike James/6-2 PG/ 7.3 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.8 apg in 17.8 minutes
Shane Battier/6-8 SF/8.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 35.5 minutes

Outgoing Players
Zach Randolph/6-9 PF/16.8 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 31.7 minutes

Plug Lee into the staring Lineup.

Curry
Lee
Battier
Wally
Crawford

James, Nate, Hayes, Jefferies, Morris, Balkman off the bench.

Wally World is from NY right?

Don't like adding a player who's known for bad D but wouldn't flip out if they made this deal.

Rather make a deal with GS for Pietrus +..

All I am saying is the Clippers are the one organization that never likes to go over the salary cap, pay luxury tax and have real good assetts. IF we are going to trade- then get some one like Brand. Second 30 million in expiring contracts don't happen everyday - we all know what a sweetner Theo Ratliffe's contract was for the Timberwolves- we have triple that!!

In addition - Curry - despite what people say - is a good asset being signed for an average of 10M a year for a guy who s a sure low post scorer. Add those two together -and you do have a lot f incentive for some team out there- and if you count in Lee/Balkman -thats a very good package.

IF by some miracle- Sterling does want to save money- you get two rookies with low salaries, a center with a low salary, 30 million in expiring contracts and an opportunity to get rid of your highest paid players.

I don't anyone -especially Knick fans would be upset if we got Kaman and Brand. i didn't see anyone to upset when they thought Charles Smith, LArry Johnson was the answe. Or when we signed grossly overpaid KVH , Shandon Anderson etc.

If you're gonna get a guy who doesn't play D, you might as well get someone who's actually GOOD at something else, and Wally can shoot and we need a couple of shooters for the offense instead of Q and Fred and JJ.

I'd do that trade.

D-Nichols? oh wait............

What will wally do for this team? My lord... No more players like wally.. please..

A move like this stunts rebuilding properly. We can't find a younger cheaper shooter in the league than Wally?

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

In, theory, it's a great idea to get a younger cheaper version of Wally. But in reality what is it going to cost us? Shooting is a premium in the league now.

Just take an average player-Say Boobie Gibson- what will that cost us? A young player plus. We may be able to get Wally for an expiring and a contract we don't want. It's a no brainer if you ask me.

Yup, he's from Long Island and expressed interest to play for the Knicks since he's been in college. Like Marbs, he grew up a big Knick fan.

Unlike Marbs, I don't think he constantly got his ego stroked. Wally's father played overseas and been through it. I would be willing to bet Wally is pretty grounded.

Fred Jones has gotta stay. The franchise will disintegrate without him.
