Is there a link of this because I did not see it

They showed it during the pre game show.....it will be in the papers tomorrow.

What a dickhead!

What are the odds THIS will be on the back page of the papers instead of tonight's victory?

That would suck. The knicks deserve some props for the win. Marbs hasn't helped the team in 4 years.

Come on Basketball Jones- are u Serious? Imean it a big F*ck*n coincidence that James is not playing a sngle game, Jalen Rose is bought out, AND Steve Francis was traded for a project with a rep- because-- Isiah was behind it all the time- and Larry Brown really wanted all that money - to ut Isiah, Larry Bird, Magi Johnson and MJ to come out of retirement.

Dude - get a blood test and clean out the toxicity you have!!

Heres a tip for you dude since you're new to this board.

Jones is hardly ever serious and when he is, you'll know it.

Marbury goes under the knife before the trade deadline, another coincidence.

Marbs can dissapear. He can have his surgery and sit out the rest of this year for all I care.

And then next year he can tell us if he wants to play in the NBA. If he does his expiring contract goes somewhere. If not, lets just give him a buyout. The Knicks can negotiate probably save a little off his full salary as he will make top dollar as a draw in Europe.

Either way he needs to have played his last game as a Knick. You absolutely never quit on your teammates the way he has done. That he was allowed to come back after all this to his old role is an abomination.

I forgot who brought him here to lead the team. Someone remind me.

let's just say it was that idiot layden and leave it at that.

Kinda funny but a little true. From what I know, (maybe nysportsfan11 can correct me if i'm wrong) Layden had laid the groundwork but wouldn't pull the trigger. Mills got wind of this and convinced Dolan to axe Layden and bring in someone who would be willing to give up the "assets" we had.

Layden did all the work around that deal. The problem was he didn't want to take on Penny's contract.

That's not why he got the axe though. Attendance was stagnant and Layden ran things without the corporate mentality of the Garden. He made it known that he thought the media policy was b.s. He let Anucha, Dan, Jeff Nix and pretty much all other staff shoot around after practice. He wore flip flops, shorts and a sweatshirt everywhere and spent most of his time in Westchester at the practice facility. He was a gym rat. He moved the way every other GM in the league (except NY) moves. He didn't want to address the media too often and hated that part of the job especially since he could never really be honest and relaxed with them the way he could in Utah. He didn't want to be the star. He wasn't polished enough for Dolan and Mills.

The players and staff liked him because he was a cool dude and sheltered them from a lot of the corporate stuff, but they didn't like how he disagreed with a lot of stuff that was mandated by Mills and Dolan but didn't stand up to them. Layden was cool on the low and treated everyone well. He didn't make any enemies in the organization and actually genuinely respected the fans' opinions. He was just incompetent as hell as far as having a long term plan that was taking too damn long and taking Dolan's mandate for "character guys" as "fill the whole team with a bunch of boring old guys."

Marbs did also say in that interview that he would try to come back to help the team.....meaning the Knicks. He talked about being in tough situations etc.....whatever.......he's still a ****in dickhead.

He has had a rough few years......let the bastard go already. I'm at the point where Im turning the tv OFF when I see his face.

I'm almost at the point where I'm gonna stop buying his shoes!!! $14.95 the only thing keeping me in that store.
