Is Isiah being relieved of his head coaching duties enough?

Would you be happy and satisfied if Isiah is removed from the bench but remains the Team President and GM? Dolan and the Knicks screw up everything they touch so it shouldn't surprise anybody if they **** this up too.
Getting a new coach and having Isiah be GM is enough for me.
Isiah needs to get the hell out of here completely before I start caring again.
I still think Isiah needs more time as the head coach and GM to pour the cement..
I just don't care anymore and I've switched allegiances to a new team.

YOU FORGOT the other catergory: if isiah is gone do you want to keep the same players

Do you really think any fan wants this roster? I would be shocked if anyone on this board could name more than 5 players on the team they'd actually want to keep.

I still wish LB were here with a GM who knew what he was doing. WIth that type of tough-nose backdrop I would keep Lee, Nate, Jamal (sixthman), Balk, Chandler. Dang that's not a lot.

I would keep:

Lee - He can be a serviceable starter or a nice piece off the bench.
Jamal - I think he's coachable and you can use him as a 6th man when he's on. A Vinnie Johnson type.
Balkman - As an 8th or 9th man to come in for 10-15 a game and let him cause havoc. No basketball to speak of but still useful in spurts.
Chandler - Who the hell knows with him at this point? Can't really judge him.

That's it. How pathetic that after 4 years, spending hundreds of millions of dollars, trading away multiple lottery picks and all this roster turnover, you barely have 1 starter to show for it. It's mindboggling.

I bet even the former CBA owners are laughing at us, that Isiah managed to screw us over more than he did them.

I'd add Nate to that list, maybe drop chandler off, maybe expand the list to five... because, you're right, who knows with Chandler? As for Nate, I'm not a fan, but he seems to play hard when given the chance.

Nate is a ball hog loser. If Nate is playing a big role, you're not winning. I give him credit for hustling but for a guy with the ball in his hands that often, he doesn't do nearly enough of the other things to help a team win. He's more interested in chucking up shots at record pace, taking as many buzzer beating half court heaves as possible and practicing new dunks, than improving as a player. He's a loser.

The bolded comment applies to all the players on your list. I didn't say what roles I would take these players at, only that I thought they could contribute. I like Nate fro 15-20 minutes a game, and I think you are wrong about "improving as a player." His averages this past week are 18 points, 4 rebs, 5 assists, 1 TO, on .551 shooting.

I know you like to bring up all the instances that you were right, but I'm willing to bet you've been sour on NAte since day one and aren't going to give him a chance to prove you wrong, which he has been doing since getting an expanded role.

I've given Nate credit for being a better shooter than I thought he was. As far as his numbers this past week, what was the Knicks record? And using a game where he had 10 assists for the first time in his life kinda skews the average, don't you think? The more minutes he gets, the more he shoots. That's about it. He's a loser.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Isiah has to go now. He had his chance and he blew it. That doesn't mean that all of his players are totally useless. I love Lee, Nate and Balkman. I still feel that Mardy and even Chandler could develop into solid players under the right coach. Who knows about Morris?

It's unlikely that we can trade all of our big contract players, so I would guess we'd still have to make it work with Curry in the mix. Curry is who he is, but if you put the right players in place he can be a useful player, just not a franchise player. The story is the same as it ever was. We all wanted a quick footed Shotblocker/Rebounder next to him and that still seems like the best idea. For Curry to exist here we need good team defenders out there with him.

Jamal is a guy that could be a good 6th man perhaps for some other team. Zach needs a strong coach who will keep him in check and make him realize how his selfishness hurts his teams. It seems trading him would be the best thing for all involved.

We need a new GM and Coach. That's the only way that we can clear the air here and start fresh. Who really wants our draft pick to be brought in under the same leadership mess and drama we have now?

So we need a new starting PG, SG, PF and SF. So we need to see if Chandler is the right guy at SF. The new GM would essentially be creating a new team. I'm assuming that we won't be able to move both Zach and Curry. If the new GM can move them both then we could perhaps move Lee in to start at PF and look to get a defensive Center. In any event I would guess that the new GM would look to trade for more picks or young studs to help fill our needs. Dolan has to send Isiah away totally and start fresh.
