I think you have to tank the rest of the way and start with Derek Rose if you can get him.

Look to get rid of collins, crawford, jefferies over the next two years, etc. Randolf is here to stay which is terrible but everything falls into place with a leader and a guy that can get people the ball......

A face break team with Balkman, Nate, Chandler, Lee could be effective in the future.

These two are clowns. I started listening today then turned it off thinking all they'd blab about was the Giants.

Apparently they talked Knicks... this is from someone who heard their convo

Francessa seemed pretty confident on the information he heard(that none of us heard). He said it was TMac and a filler for Marbury and a player/pick(Guessing Balkman). Marburys contract ends next year, while TMac has an extra year then Steph. Mike said the reasoning behind Houston is so they can shed the salary, and move a year quicker into surrounding the team around Yao.

My god...what a TERRIBLE idea this would be. Another proven stat stuffing loser?

C-Curry
F-Randolph
F-QRich
G-TMac
G-Crawful

Yeah, LOVELY IDEA ISIAH YOU DUMB PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

Seriously...if he does this we're done until 2010 or 2011 instead of 2009 for any chance to tear this mess down.

TMAC? Is he serious? On THIS TEAM full of chuckers? So then we'll have a true 5-chucker lineup!?

Yeah, THATS taking us places!

Tmac is a useless, self-centered, arrogant, stupid, lowIQ, injury prone, piece of CRAP.

I guarantee Isiah could see the trade to Dolan though....cause clueless fans will wake up "Yo my dawg TMAC iz a KNICK I gots to go to da gahden and watch my boi cwossovah and chuck a 30 footer!"

hahahaha.. cosmic, I feel you.. I was on realgm a while ago, and I let T-mac have it.. of course we had our usual T-mac defenders, telling us how great he still is... I mean If this happens, then Isiah is here to stay forever.. not a good sign at all..

this is QRich part II - back problems and all. Q was a really good (not great) player before coming here. T-Mac is a really good player, but has health issues and is selfish. No doubt, if he were to be traded here, he would be reduced to 5pts per game. it's the 'knix jinx'

Seriously I think we do this deal and call mchale up.

Why not he is under pressure there is dumb as stone and they sit tracy for the rest of the season pick up a top 3 pick from their own record and all it takes is Ratliff's expiring deal. Mchale turns KG into Al Jefferson and Tracy.

Foye, McGrady, Brewer, Jefferson, Draft Choice

If you really want to get T-Mac, then get him in the off-season when you at least have a chance at a Rose/McGrady backcourt.

Getting him right now makes no sense. Plus, Marbury expires after next season so I don't see why Houston would be in a rush to move T-Mac to us before the deadline.

I don't want T-Mac here but I'm not against trading for him if the deal is good for us. This isn't like the Randolph trade because we actually need a dependable SG and with only 2 more years left on his contract, taking on McGrady wouldn't be that big of a risk. Worst comes to worst, you could always deal him for something because he has some value (although not as much as he used to obviously).

the problem is that T-Mac isnt' really dependable... he's an awesome talent no question, but what good is that if he's not playing half the time?

Marbury and Balkman for Tmac is a great trade....... If all of Isiahs trades got a player turely as good as tmac back, the knicks wouldn't be in the problems they are today.

Curry
Zach(Lee hopefully)
Tmac
JC
Nate

You are the same dude who defended Isiah to death. T-Mac is not a great trade. It is a band aid deal like all the other band aid deals.

Thank you, Rick Brunson.

A, your that guy that made those one liner posts.......

All of the knicks trade have never got a player as great as Tmac back, for Marbury and balkman that would be a awesome trade.

One liner posts? Yeah, you're a genius.

There is nothing awesome about T-Mac. He's always injured and is a selfish whiny waste of talent. He's put up the stats and had absolutely nothing to show for it. Now he can't even play with a guy like Yao. Sound familiar? Yeah, we have a lot of those guys on this roster. Do yourself a favor and go back to telling everyone how Isiah Thomas is the man and let the people who actually understand how to build a team discuss something here.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

T-Mac is still very a good player. The only problem is that he's never on the court.

Penny Hardway here we come.

The Knicks just need to let Marbury's contract expire and build through the draft.

When he is playing, its a bonus. When he isn't, its a bonus in that the younger guys who get little time can develop. I would do this. Tmac is better than anything we have at the guard position. Plus getting Marbs out of the locker room is a bonus. He is much more of a distraction than Tmac.

I agree there, but he still has a lot more value than what you would be giving up in this trade and only one more year than Marbury has.

I'm against trading for T-Mac (especially mid-season), but I don't think its that bad of an idea if its only Marbury + a prospect or two.

BRIGGS, what people here fail to see is that NBA consists of seperate franchises: but they also are considered one entity. The knicks are a cash cow for the NBA and they use the Knicks to swallow bad contracts thats the overall goal given to the Knicks. I believe that the Knicks soul purpose is to help the bad market teams and help them through tough situations.

So when the NBA flushes the toilet, all the crap goes to the Knicks?
