Kobe's the flashiest, not the best, player in the league.

I think a lot of NBA players will disagree with you.
Please. You "think" a lot of players will disagree with me? Okay, well I "think" a lot of players will agree with me.

Now that we got that out of the way, based on what criteria is Kobe the best player?

Wow, "Kobe can never win a championship as THE guy"? That's straight crazy-talk.

Right now Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Garnett are my top 3 for MVP voting.

Just a little off topic, with Yao and McGrady on that team, how is Houston a .500 ball club?!

Joe Johnson is a leader. He needs another player with him that has equal talent or better. Joe is clutch and plays both ends....

The only thing Joe johnson leads his team is in scoring.

I have watched him enough on League pass to know he's not a franchise player, franchise players don't hog the ball.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I saw some article where the Dallas Mavericks have a player rating system, and Baron Davis ranks second behind Kobe on it this season. Davis absolutely is having a monster season. He's the perfect player for Don Nelson's insane offense.

so joe is a ball hog? please, the guy is as clutch as any player in the league, he also defends, is well respected around the league and by his teamates.. I don't think the suns have ever been the same since he left.... Maybe not a franchise player, but pretty damn close... Put him on Orlando with Howard instead of Lewis and orlando I think is a legit contender...

except when they play the knicks, all of those positions become filled with stars somehow.....

That was my argument he isn't a franchise player, but a good player never the less.
If you put joe johnson on the magic he would make better team chemistry maybe because Hedo Turkolou is really a sf just like Rashard Lewis is. Johnson at 6'6 is the perfect size for a shooting guard. Hedo is playing sf at 6'10 Lewis is playing PF at 6'10, both are lean and fits the sf mold.
