I compared Koufos to durant only cuz he attempted to dribble and drive. I didn't even realize he was 7ft. Then again it was his first terrible game of his short career.....so maybe I should shut up.

Getting that second pick is crucial. Isiah has got to make a decision on the roster. Knicks need to get a step on whatever direction he wants to go.....this season is done.

That's my point. He has the IQ and polish, but any sort of play that requires athleticism in the pros he more likely than not will fail at it. I don't want to compare him to Rik Smits, but there is some similarities there. Smits had the green light for certain tasks and the red light for others.

Rik Smits had the green light to bust the Knicks ass, lol. He always seemed to play his best against the Knicks.

Koukos and Smits? I think D. Shremp is probably a fair comparison but he was a really tough focused guy and I don't see that in him. He's kinda a weird player. Can't wait till the tourney.

Are these list made based off performance or NBA potential?

Based soley on how these propects games will translate on the next level, here is my list:

1. Derrick Rose (quality pg's can totally change the dynamics of a team)
2. Deandre Jordan (right coach and system, he can be a beast)
3. Michael Beasley (in the molds of the modern day SF)
4. OJ Mayo (Has an NBA game.)
5. Kosta Kufos (size and skill level are intriguing)
6. Donte Greene (Rashard Lewis)
7. Eric Gordon (he's actually 6'3 205. Other than Wade, tweeners usually struggle)
8. Jerryd Bayless (reminds me a of Bibby a little)
9. Blake Griffin (great motor)
10. DJ Augustine (great call Briggs. I picked up this kid last year during all the Durant hype. The best pure pg in the entire draft. A little undersized though)
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

Just as a sidebar.. I think alot of people are sleeping on Darrel Arthur. I've seen Kansas play a few times this year, this kid has some serious game. He can shoot from the post, he's got a decent set of post moves already, he can board, he can block some shots. The other thing about him is that he is VERY explosive, he is quite a high flyer for a big man and you don't see that blend of post moves and the highfyling act very often.

The one thing he has to do is beef up though, as per draft express he only weights 215 and at 6'9 and playing in the post in the NBA, he needs about 20-25 more pounds on him.

I think he is a legit Top10 NBA prospect right now.

Smts destroyed the Knicks because he was pure finesse. Patrick at first was a beast... I actually think playing Smits made Ewing a more complete player. I loved watching that match-up.

But Smits wasn't expcted to put the ball on the floor or to really create. He was a great second banana, and that's what I could see out of Koufos, a great take-it-if-its-there player.

Honestly, you could be right. I haven't watched the Jayhawks yet this year. I will say I wasn't impressed with his passing from last year. I think you're right about him have an NBA package.

Browsing his numbers he shoots at .544 this year, .538 last. He's going for 13.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, .06 assists, and 1.6 blocks. He's shooting .667 from the stripe, and .646 last. Looks like he's a legit power forward in the NBA. Let me watch him live and I'll get back to you on where I think he falls... but it looks like I'm going to support your claim after I do.

What about Devon HArdin of California? I saw him the other day and outside of some explosive power dunks and some explosive blocks.....He had a quiet game, lol.....bad luck again but he did display Highlight reel explosion. All the plays he made were Espn top ten worthy.

Oh and someone brought up MR. Boring 2008....Brook Lopez.....I didn't even know he was good now, lol. I hate looking at his face and he has a twin brother. So one is actually better than the other now?

Forgot to include Jordan Hill.....hes a monster.

DeVon Hardin has limited upside. What you see is what you get. I think what you see may be good enough for him to emerge as a rotation player. He seems like a more athletic Jeff Foster.

****

As a side note, I think this draft has more legitimate players than most of the recent drafts. Knicks should get another pick...

1 Jared Baylees PG Arizona
2 Eric Gordon G Indiana
3 Deandre Jordan C Texas AM
4 Kosta Koufos C Ohio State
5 Michael Beasley F Kansas State
6 DJ Augustin PG Texas
7 Derrick Rose G Memphis
8 Blake Griffin F Oklahoma
9 Darrell Arthur PF Kansas
10 Donte Green F Syracuse

I think Bayless is solidifying the BPA status that I believe he has with a 33-10-5 game today coming back from injury. What seperates him from Gordon[who imho is the 2nd best player] is that he is a more diversified player and better floor leader.

I like Bayless too, but to me Beasley is the target, you say he is lackadasical but I think the the game just comes very easy to him. i like the Primodana attiutde usually a arrogant player like that works hard to back it up. Look at Kobe, LeBron, Wade and all the great ones they think they are God's gift to basketball and they sure as hell work hard to keep that edge. Briggs what you fail to see in Beasley's game is his defense, he blocks shots kind of like Smith from the Hwaks and he is more skilled than Smith offensively.

What I would like to see is the Knicks make more moves and try and get another pick and get a player like Bayless or the guard from Texas Augustine who I was impressed with. Sort of like a TJ Ford.

I don't think the Knicks can comeback with the same team if they do it will be back to the lottery and the young players need to play next year. The Knicks can't spend to much time thinking about vets.
If Isiah is going to be around then he needs to realize that going the vets route is a failure.

musta missed ur more recent ones... still, i believe u still had Randolph, McGee, Westbrooke & Bayless in your top 5, the day of the draft, didn't u? anyway, i'm not calling u out as being wrong about any of those guys... that isn't the point of me bumping this... i'm bumping this to show u a lot of ur other picks haven't shown much yet either, so really u should just be patient & see a larger sample this season before u start throwing the bust label around.

McGee obviously has great ability but he also seems to have hands made out of stone. I haven't seen the ball bounce out of a players' hands so much since Eddy Corny.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Those were the 4 guys I wanted for our pick. That is accurate.

My bet is a lot of Knick fans would rather have Mcgee than Gallo because of our need. He's got a lot of physical talent that you cannot teach

so far Westbrooke & McGee look like they have real star potential like u predicted, but the other 2 haven't shown anything... can we wait til Gallo actually has been given a shot to show something like those other guys have before we judge him? that's all i ask.

ur right, speaking for myself i would rather have McGee, & i agreed w/u before the draft when u were talking him up to the boards... we needed a shotblocker in the worst way & the kid looked like he had tremendous upside potential... but i was willing to keep an open mind on Gallo & still am... he hasn't even been given a chance to really show much of anything.
