I don't like him as a basketball player, but I do think it's screwed up that he did every single thing the organization asked him to do over the summer and went above and beyond, taking it like a man instead of bitching and screwing up the locker room like the so-called captains of this team.
He made a genuine effort to improve his game and do the things asked of him like a professional when guys who've been in this league since he was in junior high were out showing us how they get closer to God and eating enough to put Oprah to shame, lead by a coach who was in trial every day for sexually harassing a man.
How does Isiah repay him? By yo-yoing him in and out of the lineup with no rhyme or reason. That "depends on the matchups" excuse was bull. You knew the guy was 5'7 when you drafted him. Every time the Knicks said "jump" he said "how high and when?" This cat was flying cross country at the drop of a hat at their request. He did everything except grow. When they told Eddy to jump they had to attach a twinkie to the top of the backboard.
The double standard is amazing.

Nate is on the wrong team and has always been. He's a very good scorer and could be a top notch 6th man on an uptempo team but he will never be what he can be here.
The Knicks used to have a high energy bench with Nate, Lee, Balk and even Jone and JJSkinny. Isiah F'ed it up.

Nate is a garbage time player. With the Knicks down 20 pts at some point during seemingly every game, he's had a lot of opportunities to pump up his stats.
In close games, where teams aren't trying to get into gear again after coasting with a big lead, you can see that Nate doesn't know how to play winning team basketball. He can't run an offense and he doesn't play good half court defense. He's a one dimensional scorer but he's not even near the equal of someone like Crawford because I don't see him able to score in bunches against most starters, only against backups. Like TMS said, he's at best a 7th man off the bench.
