Trying to get hilton armstrong is a good idea but why would the Hornets want david lee to get burried the same way hilton is?

As far as Isiah liking the Lowry? MSG has been showing the "Fan Faves" where they get one of the coaches to recap some of the better games from last season. They get a coach to sit in with al trauwig to give what there reaction. They show the season opener against Memphis and Isiah had some positive things to say about him. Basically describes him like how we describe him.....as a stud.

At any rate, Nate Robinson should already be the starting point guard. Nate showed some good signs in that Bulls game. The dude needs more chances to actually have point guard responsibilities. We actually shouldn't even be talking about getting a point guard. Nate is just as good as anybody as far as guard play. He rebounds well, almost automatic when open from 3pt land and can push the ball with great speed.

Another Isiah blunder........

That's just it, I don't think Lee would get buried in New Orleans, despite Chandler and West. It's not a stretch to think N.O. might feel Lee would give them the opportunity to rest both of those guys for long stretches, keeping both fresh come playoff time. They're gonna burn these guys out playing them 40 mins. a night every single night. You're not losing too much production bringing a David Lee in for Chandler and West - Lee is a good player. He should've won the 6th man of the year last year. I know he's good. To me, it's obvious they don't feel Armstrong can give them much of anything right now. If you ask any GM around the league they'd tell you that between Lee and Armstrong, Lee's the one who's more ready and able to contribute right now. But I gotta tell you, Hilton Armstrong's ceiling is much higher than Lee's and he'd be a much better fit for the Knicks moving forward, especially if we wind up keeping Curry and Randolph. Plus, I want that draft pick. If I were the Knicks, I'd want to get my hands on as many draft picks as possible right now. This trade makes good sense to me for both clubs.

I would trade Eddy Curry and Nate for Lowry and Mike Miller. They might do it. Lowry could start for us with Miller, Lee, Zach and maybe Balkman. Finally, we would have some defense.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Lowry has got to be on the radar.

The Knicks need a blow up trade man but if Isiah really isn't gonna do anything? They why follow the team?

A Lowry for Nate trade makes the most sense. If Conley is going to be your starter, you need a backup pg that scores to help the second unit. Nate is a better scorer than Lowry. Right now, we need a pg that can defend the position and feed the post. I think Lowry is better at those things than Nate. I am one of the minority who like Nate, but Lowry is also a solid pg and he is clearly a better on the ball defender. I would do this trade.

I doubt if they would trade Lowry for Nate. Why can't Crawford be your backup point guard?

I'd be good with a Lowry for Nate trade.

Mike Conley being healthy means Lowry is going to be the back-up point and Damon Stoudamire is available.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Stoudamire is like a smaller version of Steve Francis who didn't work out here. Although Isiah drafted Damon for Toronto and probably has a soft spot for him.

Damon Stoudamire is garbage at this point, I don't know why he still plays. I'll give em Jared Jeffries for Damon Stoudamire.

You guys need to see Lowry play more before calling him a "backup". The kid is a beast and knows how to run the point.

I don't know what it will take to land him in NYC, but I dont want to give up N.Robinson. I'm in the miniority in this, but still feel that Robinson can be a serviceable 6th or 7th man of the bench.

Swishy, I agree with you about Lowry, I've been enamored with him since he was playing in the NCAA tourney with Villanova. What I don't agree with you though is about not trading Nate to get him, if you feel he's more than a backup and Nate is a 6th or 7th man then shouldn't that mean you think Lowry is better? Either way, thats only semantics and I would love to get Lowry.

Lowry is a tough as nails player, he can D it up, he can nail down the open jumper(he does need to work on his jumper though but hey thats a rookie 2nd year PG for you) and he has absolutely no fear going to the rack. Lowry kinda got the shaft with Memphis, after being injured and only playing in 10 games last year, the Grizz had no choice but to go with a PG like Conley (who is better than Lowry.) I cant help but think that if Lowry was never injured last year the Grizz wouldn't have been going for a guy like Conley since they would think they already had their PG of the future in Lowry.

This is the kind of move that we have to make as an organization right now though. We need to take advantage of teams by trading for players that are lost deep in rotation that have talent and are lost in the rotations because there are high draft picks ahead of them. Kyle Lowry is one of these guys.

In my bizarro Knick world, Nate is not a PG but a SG. I see Nate has a player who can bring instant offense off the bench and cause the other team havoc on defense.

Theres alot of things that Nate isn't, but one thing he sure can do is score and at a very quick pace. I still don't know what Nate's place is on a winning basketball team, to me he's a hard guy to gauge. He' needs to have more control I think, but thats something he will learn and certainly get better at. Would I trade him though? Sure, no one's untouchable. I'm still surprised the Suns didn't think he fit on their team, he seems like the perfect match for that system.
