I honestly don't see how Isiah's infatuation with his Chicago boys Eddy and Q, is any different than Larry starting players in their hometowns. Both remain in the starting lineup because Isiah's more concerned about feelings, homeboys and
not admitting Isiah the GM is an idiot than he is about winning games.

you bring up a good point....i dont necessarily believe isiah is concerned about THEIR feelings as much as he about his own. he brought in eddy ($55mil) as his cornerstone, etc. remember, he gave up two draft picks also to get eddy. so, if he were to bench eddy, hat does that say about isiah the gm? one thing i always noticed about isiah is that he is your best friend if it furthers his motivations, but (as he said himself) - he would trade his own mother for a win. that is the type of person that is running things in ny. a selfish, win at all costs no matter you you hurt, lie to, etc. only problem is that isiah is worse at evaluating talent than he is at coaching it.

my 2 cents.

Memo to Zach:

Tell Isiah you'll bury him in dirt, then go AWOL. You're sure to be invited back for your leadership and given at least 34 mins per game.

LOL.... when that happened with marbury, that was the day this knicks team officially lost me...

He played 78min off the bench in two games after threatening him. I was like coach.... Where is "THE WEST SIDE OF CHICAGO" at?

yea, I have never seen anything like that before. After that, there was nothing Marbury or isiah could do to make me respect them, other than quitting....

I'm glad Zach spoke out- and if this were any other situation, I would say he should just say "Coach's Decision"

But, maybe if Zach speaks out, and complains, and creates a media circus, maybe that will get Dolan pissed, and they'll either trade him or realize that isiah needs to be fired.

This is the exact reason Portland dealt this cancer malcontent. He's a bum and a baby to the highest degree.

Your the team's leading rebounder and 2nd leader scorer you get yanked from the starting line-up okay fine. However Q Brick whose lucky if he even hits the rim on his shots, and Eddy Curry who has totally mailed in this season all start. But thats right he's the jerk for thinking that he should get a nod before any of these guys?

Come on be fair about this Zach getting benched was unfair. Whether you hate his game or not he's hardly the biggest problem in our starting lineup. Outside of maybe Jamal and thats being generous the rest of the starters have been playing absolutely atrocious.

I think its bs that fans would get criticize him for having a very natural reaction about his benching. Any athlete in his position would be pissed and for good reason.

Was Manu Ginobili pissed like that after losing his starters spot, despite being an integral part and starter on a championship team?

both manu and jason terry, both former starters on championsip caliber teams were sent to the bench as 6th men... They both are excelling at their jobs, and their team is better, by them being professionals and helping the team anyway they can.... zach is a slug...

Zach is an overpaid, underachieving stat whore loser who will never do anything to help a team. He's only interested in getting his stats. That's all he cares about.

players on this team seems to always be talking about stats, all-star recognition, 6th man awards, starting spots... just win some damn games already.

Hmm both are playing on a contender and former Champion respectively. Both have great coaches and of course there is that thing of success which always makes things easier. Ginbolli has come off the bench before and Terry knew there was going to be changes after Dallas get ousted last spring by GS. It easy to make sacrifices when you see a possible Championship at the end of the tunnel. But when there is nothing but darkness at the other side your not quite as upbeat.

Those are some great excuses for being unprofessional. As if there were such a thing.

Ever think that the sacrifices that winners, like Ginobili, make are what helps make them winners?

Excuses huh? And unprofessional what? And sacrifices for what so his teammate whose been an utter lazy ass bum can get on track?

I think this is all absurd and ridiculous. Just the usual shyt stirring Zach wasn't happy but wasn't bitching either. He performed relatively decent didn't sit on the bench with a permenant pout. So like I said I cann't fault the guy.

We all knew what we were getting from Zach. I was pumped to get him and i still like him. His game is to score and rebound and thats what he has been doing. He can be shooting better and playing better D but he was never a great defensive player. The problem is that fat **** curry. He is the worst c enter in the league on the defensive end and it doesnt help. Lee should start with Zach at least we get 2 average defensive players on the frontline but at least you know we will rebound.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

I don't fault Zach. Nobody is happy on this team, and even when guys say the right thing it sounds hollow. For instance Crawford always says the right thing but then puts up a stinker on the floor. None of these guys ever tell the truth until they're off the team anyway, Then the call us a circus and remark on how happy they are to finally be on a team that plays together. Anything else is just fudging in front of the mic.

i don't fault Zach either... u can't use the lack of defense excuse to bench him & yet still have Curry starting games... that doesn't give the ooach any credibility in the minds of the players.

as for Jamal, he's 1 of the few guys on this team that actually comes to play & puts up #'s this season on a consistent basis... the other being Zach... neither of them are defensive players.

Papabear Says

It seem those who can play defense can't shoot the ball. The way things are going no one will have much trade value. It may take up to 4-5 years just to be a contender if we are lucky.

To be fair, Terry was a starter for a couple of years and now him and Devin Harris are in a time share because Harris is PROVING he should be sharing time with Terry. Manu was a starter at one point-for a very short time- and actually excelled and was better at the 6th man role.

Main difference:Terry is phasing out. Manu was a sixth man almost from the jump of his career. Randolph has been a starter for years and I think an All-Star at least once(but I am not to sure). Not to mention he is 25. And putting him on the bench when he is scoring more and is doubling the rebounds of the guy next to him.....

Let me out it another way: Did ANYONE foresee Thomas benching Randolph and starting Curry?

And while we are on the subject remember last week, when this was reported:

Randolph said he would welcome any move Thomas made "to help the team win," but Curry said it would be "a rough adjustment" to be a reserve. DailyNews

Guess who Zeke decided to bench-the path of apparent least resistance. There is no way- if only one of them was benched- Randolph should have been the guy. Want to bench both of them, fine, but if it's only one it has to be Curry.

I am tired of Curry's crap. He is a whiny bitch. Did anyone read this comment from Grimace:

“It's extremely tough to sit that long," Curry said. “I'm not used to it at all. Hopefully it doesn't continue. I got to try to anticipate when I'm going in to keep my body warm. I was definitely cold going back in there. In the future, if I even get in that position, I'd tell him [to] let me warm up, give me a minute or a warning.'
Post

What the FUCK, is he going to do Pilates before he comes in?!? Is he gonna stretch that fat ass jaw of his so he can eat 3 Big Macs at a time? Maybe he should have just parked his gigantic ass on the stationary bike and not come out in the 2nd half to keep "warm" with a side benefit being he goes from a XXXXXL to XXXXL.

Not only did fat ass keep his starting spot, he played like absolute **** and then when Isiah asked him to take a break from his baker's dozen donut break and maybe do his JOB, now he needs to warm up? He needs a minute notice? To what, swallow that last bite of Ho-Ho? Polish off that last 20 oz. Milk shake?

This is just disgusting.

Hasn't Fat Boy been pulling a Marbury while benched doing the TOWEL? Aren't the Towels keeping him warm? Isn't his Whale Fat keeping him warm?

Yeah, at least Marbury can fall back on the whole "20 and 8" crap when he pulls stupid stuff like that. The only major accomplishments in Curry's life were always followed by the words, "I can't believe I ate the whole thing".

Bitty Lee averasged a double-double last year and got relegated to the bench and didnt say one word because he thought it would help the team. Zach throws a fit when he doesnt start.
