A glaring need in the front line takes out the need for a PG. While the PGs we have are not world beaters we would be better served to pick up a C or PF that is 6'10" or taller.

Better and more shake to his game than Knight. He does scare me a little bit at 5'10. He is a true point guard.. they are hard to find.

No shot... and I'm not convinced he'll be able to penetrate in the NBA. Slightly better than Martin Cleeves was at Michigan State.

pike i see that we agree that tj ford is nothing special. i don't see what it is that have people drolling over him. a faster & shorter version of chris childs?

and rain i'm all for the knicks taking the best player avaliable if that is what it comes down to but tj ford is a wasted lottery pick.

we are not trading for t j ford. it's not a terrible choice because he does have another motor and passing skills that few poccess. but this guy is under intense scrutniy to win now. drafting tj ford is a building process. imho the antoine walker deal is going to come to life.

lets think for a second if the knicks were truly building for the future the best move wouldve been giving pavel a promise at 7-4 310 and working with him for a year or 2.EVEN if he never played it wouldve been worth the risk.

so that being said does antoine walker give the knicks more chance of winning now--probably yes i dont think boston wants to pay the maximum extension walker wants 6 years and 102mm andi dont blame them--the knicks on the other hand are one of very few teasm who might be willing tooverpay this dude because dice might never be back and they have that salary slot open in to years.

If im boston and i get rid of this dude for future cap flexibility a good player and 2 solid 1 picks i would do it in a heartbeat. boston has cycled out.

Layden hasn't made a good move since he's gotten here... Houston's due to make 20.7M in the year 2007... Anderson and Eisley are signed through 2006/07 consecutively... we don't have one decent young player... we have a center with cement weights around his legs... three dreadful point guards... and a crappy bench... and I'm stupid? HAHAHAHA...

From your lips to Gods ears... getting rid of Houston would be one of the best things this franchise could do... that more than anything else would help us plow our way out of CAP hell... I still don't think anyone is going take Houston. Houston's getting paid like he's the best player in the league when you consider the back ended nature of his contract.

The only way we could get rid of him would be to accept another overpaid guy... like Juwan Howard when he had a lot of years on his ridiculous contract... that's not going to help us either. Whether you like him or not, we're stuck with Allan Houston.
