Ariza's always been a tremendous dunker... he posterized plenty of guys while he was playing for us... the problem was & still is that he has a shoddy jumper & doesn't play great help defense... until he addresses those things he's going to be a marginal role player at best... he's got the ability to be very good, but he needs to start knocking down open jumpers on a consistent basis & improve on his foul shooting & defensive awareness a lot.

His defense is solid the rest is a work in progress.

Reezy can compliment what Walton brings to the table.

Its not the level of talent, but how you blend it together.

Less is more. Thats why Larry wanted to blow it up.

his on ball defense is solid as it's always been... his help defense leaves much to be desired... i watch every Laker game on TV cuz that's all they ever show around here.

he's a good shotblocker & defends on ball well... he cheats in the passing lanes & gets steals w/his long arms & reach... he often loses his man on help defense & fails to make the proper switch... he's still got a ways to go, but he's got the tools to be a good defensive role player.
