I like Andre Miller, he's a fine PG, but this trade takes out of contention for a top3 pick and that's pretty ****ing stupid.

Right now, the Knicks need a culture change...I can't believe I'm actually saying this...Only a guy like Kobe, LeBron or KG can help this team...They need someone to demand the team be prepared to play hard night in and night out on the court...Miller can't do that...This is just miserable...

Andre Miller would be a good get for this team. I don't think he changes the disastrous results of this year, but he is a PG with brain that would help a bit and allow us to focus on a big (Beasley, Hibbert?) or a wing (Budinger, Mayo) since we'd miss out on Rose anyway.

As long as we're not giving up David Lee here, I don't know if there's too much I'd be upset about.

Please trade include Eddy Curry for Sam Dalembert.
Yes, when I opened a thread few weeks ago asking for that trade, I thought that we could get a Curry for Dalembert & a pick. Right now, I think that it would be us the ones sending them a pick

Are you sure about that? I mean, I love him too, but you really think he's good enough to single handedly take this team from horrible to mediocrity or average? Just remember, NOBODY else on the team, besides David Lee and Malik know how to play team basketball. Andre is a good start, but for this year, it would STILL be a mess.

don't think stefanski and the knicks will do business together. interdivision deals almost never happen unless a team is getting raped.

Papabear Says

This won't be rape it will be like Sadam and Ghamora and like Sanam and Ghamora both teams must be destroyed in order to rebuild and clean up the sins and mistakes of the people involved.

Holfresh, when Bippity and I said that we needed a culture change back before Larry was hired and then said he wasn't given an opportunity to do that, you constantly threw jabs at us about "changing the culture." Now you are calling for it?

Of course he did. His starting point guard was an aging Charlie Ward. He love Howard Eisley as well. Layden loved any guard or big man at that point.

Something has got to be done.......the team needs a shake up.

Whatever isiah does is fine with me.....

Personally I'm sick of seeing Q and curry right now. They are on some Channing **** right now.

I think this forum will survive nicely without rape references. It's pretty nasty right?
In fact,it is pillaging you guys are referring to in this particular instance. Pillaging is fun to refer to. Like Frankincense.

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

New York Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: +3.3 ppg, -0.4 rpg, and +4.0 apg.
Incoming Players
Andre Miller
6-2 PG from Utah
16.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.1 apg in 35.8 minutes
Samuel Dalembert
6-11 C from Seton Hall
11.1 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 0.5 apg in 32.7 minutes
Outgoing Players
Renaldo Balkman
6-7 SF from South Carolina
2.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 0.5 apg in 12.4 minutes
Quentin Richardson
6-6 SG / SF from DePaul
7.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.5 apg in 31.0 minutes
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
14.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 0.6 apg in 28.2 minutes

LB would never authorize taking Steph, but if we get Dre' who I like, Steph may be bout out or traded to a team like LA for expirings.

PS, Miller has only this year and next on his contract. Dalembert is locked up for another 5 or 6 for an average of about 10 per.

i like ur thinking there joe... i'd make that deal in a heartbeat too... then buy out Marbs & get his butt outta here which was long overdue... Miller & Dally aren't going to make this team contenders anytime soon, but they at least address needs & help to balance out the roster a bit.

the negative is that it might actually help this team win more games, & i think the best way to fix this mess is to keep losing & get as high a draft pick as possible this offseason... that will open up possibilities for trades or getting a top notch rookie talent to build around for the future.

And we still have the contracts of Curry, and Q on the books. We also have a op rookie who is going to push someone(the top players are SG's and PF's and C's) meaning Craw, Curry or Randolph are still being pushed to the bench. We still have a rookie lookin' up at Stephon Marbury in New York.

All this and no garauntee that the rookie will develop(especially this year's "top" guys. None are solid high picks like, say a Brandon Roy was. They are all more risky choices.

Where did this rumor come from?

Why make this deal? Andre Miller is not better than Steph... moreover this would just be another lateral move. We gotta stop looking for the quick fix! I think Sam Dalembert would look good next to Z-Bo but so would any shot blocking, defensive minded center that runs the floor.

I'd start looking internally first before making major moves.

Why doesn't Randolph Morris or Wilson Chandler get burn? Not that they are saviors but they could be effective when playing with Z-Bo.
