I love how people continue to blame the coaches and not the players. The players quit on Chaney, Lenny, LB, and Isiah... yeah it's all coaching.

Players quit not on Isiah as a coach but as a MAN.
And this is final... There is no return.

Isiah wants to get fired. He gets his money and can go home.

Or he can die.

These players can't be pushed by someone else, nor themselves, and the person that brought those types of people in was Isiah the GM, not the coach. Isiah the coach made mistakes, but his players quit on him. Isiah the GM brought them in and keeps bringing them in and he deserves to be fired.

Funny to hear Isiah complain about pride and heart, yet the players who exhibit that are not on the floor much. Where's Nate when we miss 20 straight shots? This is a wasted year for Mardy and he looked sick at the end of last year. Where's he?

Getting Z gave us hope that there could be a resurgence so the development of the young guys was put off. We should have kept Nichols and Jordan and dumped all the crap. We're just going to be wasting years waiting for these guys to come off the cap any damn way.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I don't think you need to blame Isiah the coach or GM- things just aren't working out, management needs to bring in a fresh set of eyes to determine what we really have.

Isiah brought in a lot of very talented players. None are that good that we can win a championship and with a few minor tweaks, this squad might be able to make it to the playoffs.

Its simply time to move on. No one's fault, just clean up the mess and try to restart the building process.

I have already lost my mind during the first losing streak, now I'm nice and calm losses only make me happy becuase its a steph away from draftsville. That is what I'm looking forward to. Hopefully Dolan does fire Isiah at the end of the year and follows Stern's order maybe if Dolan does there is a reward for it like the number one pick after all Seattle got a number one pick just for threatning to move to Oaklahoma City.

Nixluva just wait until the dust settles. It will all be okay

For the record: Everytime Isiah acquired these lazy players there were people on the board that said what you are seeing today was inevitable. You were warned.

When the team was throwing it in the tank and the fans were booing, Isiah chose that time to blame the fans for the performance instead of the players. What did he expect the results of making excuses for the players would be? What did you think the results of making excuses for the players would be? We've made excuses for them for 3 years now. This is what happens.

You were warned.......You have one day

Don't forget the GMing.

Chaney had a different set of players that quit on him.
It's the same starphucked approach. You starphuck and get stat whores and they quit on you. Each coach had one or two different stars but it's the same starphucking philosophy and same result each time. The organization has been starphucking ever since the McDyess trade and it will continue until Dolan passes on.

Since McDyess? Goes back further than that, my friend. How about Glen Rice?
Kiki Vandeweghe? Ronaldo Blackman?

It's gotta be a coaching thing. I've been watching Isiah and the opposing coaches and one thing that just kills me is that Isiah doesn't ride his team when it needs it. You watch other coaches and you see them getting on their players and applying the whip like they're race horses. Isiah doesn't do a thing but sit there and watch the team lose it's energy and focus. We have guys that can play harder than this. What has happened to Balkman? He's looked horrible this year and in this game he was bad again. I don't agree that you can't coach effort. That's BULL. Pat Riley, Jerry Sloan, JVG and SVG, Scott SKiles etc. You can find many coaches that constantly exhort their teams to give more effort, even when they're winning!!!

It doesn't mean that he has to be a hardass all the time, but you have to know when to flip the switch and give your team a kick in the butt when it needs it. You have to see bad trends before they fully develop and take action. Isiah waits too long to react. I have no problem with nice guy coaches so long as they know when enough is enough. Also you have to know your personnel. Some teams are so self motivated you don't need to ride them. CLEARLY the players we have are at the total other end of the spectrum. We have low effort players all over the roster and as such you can't ease up on them when they need some kind of push.

I know that some will say that there are guys here who can't take being driven like that, but I don't think that's really it. As long as you aren't doing it out of disrespect, any player will accept a coach doing his job. It's not about Dolan not wanting Isiah to ride the team. This is about doing what needs to be done. I'm not talking about bashing in the press either. That's not gonna work. It's about knowing your players and what to say that will really get in their head. Pulling a Balkman aside and saying "are you just gonna let that guy punk you like that or are you gonna get in his shorts and shut him down?" I don't think Isiah has the pulse of this team and how to make them go. He looks lost and it's sad that Dolan won't take action and get someone in here that can get the most out of this team and lead it for the future.

it is EVERYONE'S fault. i said it last season, knicks have fallen into a losing culture which is hard to dig out of. it has happened to many teams before and we have slumped into it this decade. i was a critic of larry brown but i guess he was right. we did not have the right personnell to compete. we have a team made up of players with talent but are used to losing. thomas was so stubborn about his collective "talent" that he was convinced that this team would be comeptitive. so he found out the hard way that the team he assempled was crap. he is starting to realize it now. he said that he needs to improve within because he has no choice. no one on this team has trade value. so we might as well wait it out until 2010 and maybe trade curry or randolph in the meantime. we need to get lucky soon because murphy's law is definately in effect with this team.

I was thinking about that too. The Glen Rice deal was a starphuck, but I'm not sure I'd say they were in full throttle starphuck mode until the McDyess deal. Blackman played well and played hard on both ends. I wouldn't call that starphucking. I'm talking about overpaid, lazy stat whores when I say starphucking. Kiki goes before my time--so I can't comment.

I've said it many times. You run into teams like this in every league. They have talent up the wazoo. They have athletic ability up the wazoo. They tell everyone how they are going to run the league. One on one you can't stop any of them. Yet the season starts and they finish in the bottom of the standings. They blame the refs, they blame the gym, they blame each other. They look for every excuse except for the obvious one. They don't know how to play team ball.
I just hope that people will like me
