To be the leader in stats maybe. Marbury was a also a leader in stats.

I'm just looking for someone who can bring some sanity to this team. Honestly I haven't seen Beasley play nor do I know his relationship with his teammates. But NBADraft.net gives Beasley low scores for leadership and says a weakness is maturity. I do not think this is what we need.

On the other hand, Derrick Rose looks like an absolutely perfect fit. Isiah often brings in either a defense-only player or a offense-only player. Rose seems to be both.

Plus we desperately need a point guard right now. We don't have a PG who can honestly bring us a championship. Rose seems to be the guy, especially since he gets high scores for leadership.

What do you think?

Either way you are getting a good player. But to me Beasely has a higher ceiling and probably be the stud of the draft. If the Knicks get the number 1 they will take Beasely no doubt in my mind.

Start Mardy with Nate. Frontline put in DLee and Zach. SF have Balkman.

I am a broken record.

Hibbert's a likely lottery pick tho, isn't he? i much rather use our top pick on a Mayo or Rose... i need to do some digging on prospects... maybe there's a sleeper out there we can nab that will fill that need for us... a Euro player perhaps?

playa made a good point in another thread... whoever we draft must be a leader... Vmart, is Beasely projected to be that? or is he just another athletic freak w/little basketball IQ in the mold of a Darius Miles, etc.?

He has a polished game Darius didn't have that. Be honest I haven't seen these guys play enough to determine if they are leaders or not. I think the leaders comeout during touney time. It will be fun to watch knowing the Knicks are going to be in play for one of the top picks College basketball was good but this year it just got better for us Knicks fans.

from the reports i've read it seems like Rose & Mayo have the stuff to be leaders for any team they play for... i really am not interested in anymore players that we have to hope will "get it" someday, no matter how talented they may be.

there is always 2009 for the leader type- I suspect we'll be lotto bound again. our next gm has to think out several moves.

after watching divabury destroy this team, i'm ok with getting a pg like charlie ward/chris childs-

I think the single biggest need is outside shooting.

we need everything- and with the high pick we will get, we just have to take best player available.

I don't think this team is bad enough to get the top 3 picks. Knowing the Knicks you can expect the 7th or 8th pick. As far as Zach, I like his game. With the system that Isiah is running you can't expect any new player to be sucessful. I would not be surprised if Isiah is still here that he trades Curry.

I can tell you what I didn't eat. The sushi. My medical coverage is limited.

funny you'd bring the sushi up. dj and i actually tried it one night...i regretted it as soon as the first bite hit my mouth and threw it out. iy was just awful. dj agreed with me then proceeded to eat the enitre dish (eel i think) then lick the plate clean.

Time to bring in a PG. No more headcases and no more PF's.
I just hope that people will like me

I guess that's why he asked me what I ate. Looking for fresh ideas.
As soon as I saw that advertised on the Megatron, or whatever the **** they call that screen,
I knew it was a BAD idea.

Q has to stop doing the little celebration after 3's. Dude, just say a little
prayer thanking god, and hope you can hit the next one too. You're in no position
to celebrate.

HAHA!! That's hilarious... How did your lady friend enjoy the game?

She's from Cleveland like I said, so she's really not a Knick fan, but
honestly she was routing for them more than I was. Basically, for me,
it was like watching a traffic accident. Just macabre.
Plus it was really fascinating to me how wound up and ready for blood
the Garden really was. Like I said, they started booing about 1 1/2 minutes
into the game. That's UNPRECEDENTED! And this from a HALF full Garden. HALF FULL!
I was just sitting there remembering going to the Garden in the 90's
when the DE-FENSE chant meant something, and you could really get behind
your guys. It really sucks being a crack-fiend for a team whose players
(at least starters) you can't get behind and can't wait to be traded or expired.

Honestly, there's just one thing that is serving as IV for my hope as a fan.
The draft pick.
If that ******* trades it away, for anything less than bonafide two-way all-star,
I swear you've all seen the last of me, and I'll swear off caring about this team until
Isiah is gone.

You should be doing that already. I think you need to raise the stakes

Like I said, I care only so far as who we are getting with the draft pick,
and waiting for Isiah's firing.
