The Knicks are caught in a vicious cycle. Hampered by the cap, without their draft pics, they can only bring in talented but deeply flawed players with long unattractive contracts.

The fans, seeing all this action with trades and draft pics, expect results. After a few years of this, they develop an itchy "boo finger". They boo these emotionally delicate players who respond by playing even worse.

This is just an extension of the LB year. Once you allow players to quit once it will happen again. I tried to warn you guys..........

IT needs to make a move for somebody b/c unless Marbury comes back and plays better than he usually does, I don't see how this team can win more than 26 games. This year is becoming as bad as the LB year.

As to the comment that Dolan should have kept LB, IMO LB has a tendency to want to get rid of a player at the first sign of problems. I think he simply lacks the patience needed to be an effective GM/Coach. Maybe if he did not have to coach the team, he could have more patience and make solid decisions, but if LB was the GM/Coach, we would be making trades every month. This is the same guy that wanted to trade Billups and if you believe Dolan/Thomas asked for Francis. I definitely would not want him GMing the team.

If only we all listened to Bip, none of this would have happened.

In all seriousness. After watching the team quit for 82 games during LB's year, how could any GM on the planet not think he had to break up the core. Instead ours built on top of it.

Well, despite all his protestations, I think Isiah always wanted to coach again. That's why he undermined every coach who worked under him. He enabled the players to rebel against their coach. If he'd told the players "He's your coach, do what he says" instead of asking "Did that bad man hurt your feelings?" maybe things would've been different.

During LB's tenure it was him f'n up. This year the expectations were so much higher.

not sure what that means. please ellaborate.

LB was doing things to like start guys in their home towns, and going to the media before talking to the players. In other word, he kind of sabotaged the Knicks that season.
This year the expectations are playoffs. So it makes it worse than LB's tenure cause we have higher expectations for this season.

Brown was more aggrivating. He seemed like he was taking the team down with him on purpose and ran the team in a way that was counter to its players skills.

Isiah is trying, but its just not working. There are glimpses of positive things, which is more than there was with Brown.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
was it this bad during the LB year?
