I make no claim of persoanl knwoledge as to LW's BBall IQ but the Knicks of the late 60's and early 70's had a team of BBall scholars.
A Rhodes Scholar and US Senator, a college professor, three coaches two of whom became GMs and the other winner of more than a few titles as coach, arguably one of the top 3-5 point guards in the history of the league and who along with another member is a broadcaster, and still another who was a straigh A student at a major university. THAT was a high IQ team.

I was referring to the recent past. You gave me a blast from the past with that team. Well rounded team on and off the court. NYK of recent past years have always lacked in that dept.

Luke Walton isn't bad and would be there for us at 39. He's decent but we can't waste out 30th pick on him.
