Yes he should be gone. I would label this the final straw. If you can get beat by a team that is clearly rebuilding--just fired THEIR GM/PRES days ago--and they SMOKE us twice back to back 25 at the Garden--what kind of message is this.

Forget a poll---give me one person who can give me a cogent explanation on why IT should NOT be GONE. Stand and man up. There is NO doubt about it--he should be fired.

I think you have to wait until after the dallas game. We are going to loss that game regardless of the coach. At least let herb start it off in a game where this team has a chance.

Seriously. Don't you just get the feeling the conversation will go something like this:

Dolan:(to Isiah) "You're fired. Herb, you're up"

Herb: (to Dolan) "OOOHH, hell NO!"

they'll be some sht like we just came off winning 3 out of 4 and had an emotional letdown because of the sitaution with Marbury's Dad. We're only 2 games out of an 8 seed in the east. were going to have Seattle in soon and we'll get back on track. Out of the next 10 we'll surely win 8. I wouldnt be surprised if we come out and beat Dallas. The guys practiced the hardest all year yesterday in the snow outside with no shirts on. Zach and Curry brought in Chuck Norris Arnold and Richard Simmons[the white one] to get their bodies back in shape in the next week. Barry Bonds trainer has been seen spreading a clear substance in the lockeroom--thats another 6 game win streak. IT is watching tapes of Bobby Knight Red Holzman and John Wooden and will bring a formula that has never been seen before. We have a secret point guard stashed in the Alps and he's coming in on Monday.

This is the NBA you really can't start from scratch. You have to work a lot of the contracts out before blowing it up. Even if there is a change in GM and Coach the Knicks will still be left holding players a new coach and the backing of a GM who had nothing to do with bring in these current players might get the current players playing harder and making a better effort. Some of the players might be keepers under a differnt system you never know how the next coach will use them since he has no attachmnets to the current roster. Salvage in the sense you want the system implemented right now as opposed to next year. At that point wins and loses are tossed out the window until the next year comes around. Even the next GM will shoot for the draft and bring his signature player in.
