I was thinking the same thing just the other day.

If Isiah has his eyes on and really concerned about the knicks future , he would have sent Chandler to the NBDL already if he didn't plan on using him.

By not doing so it tells me he really isn't looking out for the knicks future, just this yr.

I don't want to hear about the lack of control if we send players down. Isiah is a ****ing joke has no concept of how to run an offense or get through to these players.

Chandler is actually getting worse because he is around our corrupt culture where everyone quits on each other. And to be honest who is the only knick that looks like he added something to his game? Lee has improved his ft% and is a little better in the post. Outside of that?

Curry is out of shape, shocker! But we should give him the benefit of the doubt listen to q and have to deal with posters screaming to give the guy a chance. He has no post moves outside of a hook shot and using his body mass. What is aguire doing? Jamal still is dumb and takes horrific shots and forgets to drive the ball even though when he does we win.

The Knicks coaching staff does what? We are one of the worst defensive teams, we can't run any kind of offense, we turn it over all the time, i am sorry what else is there. Chandler could be a good player in this offense if you get curry off the floor and run the ball.

High Energy: Crawford, Jones, Balkman/Chandler Lee, Nate. I know its not college but would some increased ball pressure really kill us

Crawford
Jones
Chandler
Lee
Curry

What's wrong with trying that lineup every now and again

Also the coaches down there are not hacks. I think some big name college coaches like Quin Snyder and Jim Harrick are down there. The coach for our team is Joey Meyer, who is winningest coach in NBDL history and was the head coach at DePaul University for 13 years.

That seems to be a no-brainer, with the chicago connection and all with Meyer.

I wish one of the news reporters reads this forum and ask the question

"Isiah what are your plans this yr for Wilson Chandler your well thought out #1 pick, do you plan on sending him to the D-League if not when is he gonna play ?"

How has Quin Synder not gotten another job? He was a pretty good coach at Mizzou and for a long time.. he's still very young too.

I can understand Jim Harrick not getting another coaching job since I'm an URI alum and know the long trail of NCAA violations he's left behind.

Theres definitely good coaching down there in the NBDL.

or we could play him...

That decision would be waaaayyyyyy too practical!

As to the D-League I find it completely useless in the way it is run. It should mirror Baseball in that each team has it's own affiliate. There are no restrictions on players you can send down and call up (right now you can only send down rookies or 2nd year players). You should be able to use it as a farm team such as your minor league affiliate signs a kid off the street in the middle of the season (like a john starks for arguments sake) and he's really good - then you can ship Mardy's gimpy ass down to the minors and call up "starks".

If Curry won't get into shape you could send him to the minors until he gets it right. When a player comes back from injury (such as lee) you send him to the minors to get his timing back against the scrubs and then call him back up when he's ready.

THAT's what the NBA should be doing and I am entirely confused as to this half-assed sharing system full of restrictions they have going on.

Unless they decide to mirror Major League Baseball's system in every way it's a completely useless "tool" for the pro teams. In that I fully support NEVER using the D-League it's pointless.

Now, I'm sure guys like Chandler would love to be able to play actual basketball games wire to wire instead of being a pawn in practice but I don't see how the D-League would serve us in a positive manner.

I think Snyder ran into some violations too, but he really did a great job in Missouri IMO. Extremely smart guy who has an MBA and JD from Duke and was a protege of Coach K.

His team down there is loaded with familiar names: Ian Mahinmi (Spurs 1st rounder), Kevin Pittsnogle, Dermarr Johnson, Darius Washington from Memphis, Marcus Williams from Arizona, Kenton PAulino from Texas, Keith Langford from Kansas....

David "the don stern" is in bed with the NCAA, this is why the D-League's not run properly.

Now I can see why that Austin team has so much talent, both coaching and players- it is owned by the league's best Franchise, the Spurs.
Why don't we send Wilson Chandler to the D-League....
